Ok, here's the score .....
« on: April 11, 2008, 10:49:16 AM »

We, as fans, have two choices.

We can trudge down to Moss Lane tomorrow with our heads down feeling miserable. We can go through the gates and bellow out a few songs until the first poor pass or missed opportunity and then talk amongst ourselves about the best route to Tamworth etc etc

or ...........

We can lose our voices trying to let the lads know that we still believe. If it makes the slightest bit of difference, it's the least we can do. Hell, if you think we're down, why not take the attitude that if we are going down, let's go down loudly with our heads up?

So, let's make it a Cup Final. You never know, come 7pm on 26th April in Weymouth, you may be glad you did !!!!

COME ON ALTY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I admire your spirit Sir (Smirnoff?) and you are correct. I don't doubt for one minute that anything else will happen......there will be plenty of time to be glum IF (and importantly it still is an IF) we don't survive. Wish I could be there.

Have a goodwin.

I'm toying with the idea of coming down tomorrow - see if my baby brother wants to tag along and see the last rites.

Top Post!

I said this last year, you've got all summer to moan about who should have played where and against who.

On Saturday we must have the cracking support we know we can give.

The support away at Burton and Kiddy has been immense, lets keep it going.

I bloody love that song!! Can someone explain the lyrics and non rhyming words to me cos its always brought a smile to me that this song doesnt flow or make sense!!

first line has the words "me" and "timperLEY" as the rhyming words
second line has the words "little" and "tree" which is f**king genuis, seriously !!!

There should be an alty song book produced by the way!! For the next generation to take on.......... as well as teaching some of us songs we dont know!!

Find me and follow me through corridors and factories.

The dark side of the matinee, the dark of the matinee!

They are the original lyrics (I think!?)

The Alty version is better of course, who came up with the song by the way??

i'll assume it was one of the usual 3 who seem to come up with the songs (gary, hughsey or jimmy) might be wrong tho

The verse, which we never get round to singing because it's a bit of a pain in the arse to be honest is.

Time every journey
To bump into you, accidentally, I
Charm you and Tell you
of Macc Town I hate
Northwich Vics I hate
Forest Green I hate
And Colin Peake I hate

You smile and mention the club that you like
Heroes in Red and White
And I'm Alty til I die............
