In the current financial climate, this has got to be good news

I think the timing of this coupled with the ITV4 announcement that they are to show the FA Trophy final, might be an indication that the showing of the trophy final might be a "test the water" to a potential tv deal with itv4 for next season, hopefully the trophy final will get decent viewing figures.Blue sq arent daft, and they must be pretty confident somthing is in the offing.....

That was my thought when I saw the article. I think ITV can do a decent job with this and they can advertise on ITV1

I hope they go for it and show the BSP games next season.. Mind you I expect it will mainly dominated by Southern based clubs as per usual.

surely you're not referring to poxford, gruesome luton, wimbledon & stevenage?

i'm going to predict now that Gateshead V Hayes 'n Yeading isn't on...

Seeing that 16 of the 23 current confrerence clubs are from the South (I have included Tamwort and Mansfied in the 7 Northern clubs for this purpose) even without favouritism Southern clubs should be expected to get more TV coverage.
The inbalance should be sligjtly corrected for next season as the BSP is likely to lose 5 southern based clubs and gain only 1, plus another Welsh club.
