Though i applaud the conference having this rule, it could just be another rule which will be overturned by the glorious FA. I do find it hard to fathom where a club will suddenly find this cash in order to pay off their debts. I agree that some clubs have seriously taken the piss by teetering on the edge and having more takeovers than rover. But until the league finally sorts it's head out and comes up with a formula that will demand teams to abide by some sort of wage cap, or able to punish overspending properly, then these clubs will continue to overspend and continue with the boom and bust approach.
However, the conference haven’t really shone through this shambles well at all. They have consistently allowed chester to be a law unto themselves, merely repeating what happened at Crawley.
Interestingly why are the conference allowing clubs to have a CVA, with 25-50pence per pound being paid, and then deeming this to be contrary to their rules. Surely someone would have noticed the rules, and told the clubs that all their debts would need to be paid. The only other rule comes from the FA stating that all football creditors must be paid in full. Something that Northwich, i think, have or are doing.
I for one hope Northwich survive for the following reasons:
1.they bring more than Ebbsfleet,
2.its 4-6 points every season.
3.Its not the same taking to piss out of chester and Wrexham.
