I once knew a guy who got sacked from working on the waltzers.

He sued them for funfair dismissal !!   :D

One of those new Skodas crashed at the end of our road yesterday.

There was sponge & marzipan everywhere!

Grays confident of end to FA row

Grays chairman Mick Woodward is optimistic of an end to their dispute with the Football Association over refusing to pay a jailed ex-player.
The FA ordered the club to pay Ashley Sestanovich £14,000 in unpaid wages or face suspension from football.

Woodward meets the FA on Monday and is hopeful the matter will be settled.

"I feel common sense will prevail - Grays won't be suspended or folded and I think the FA understand the principle side," Woodward told BBC Essex.

Grays were told to pay-up after sacking the striker before his conviction for conspiracy to rob.

I think [the FA] feel embarrassed by the whole situation and realise there's a real public outcry

Grays chairman Mick Woodward

The FA disciplinary hearing ruled they were in breach of the game's regulations.

The club have been given until Thursday, 20 March to pay or be suspended from all football.

But Woodward believes there is light at the end of the tunnel.

He said: "I've had a conversation with the FA and they want me to go and see them on Monday and clear the matter up.

"I think they feel embarrassed by the whole situation and realise there's a real public outcry.

"We'll sit down with them and settle this and hopefully Grays can go on. I don't want Grays to end, look at what we've built," he added.
