:o
I think Moss Lane is more than capable of holding the tie, they might have to cap the capacity to around 4000 just to be safe, couldnt imagine playing this anywhere else.

There's further incentive to beat the ignorant troglodytes.
At least this time we are not unemployed miners!
I can't believe there is any need to move the game.
-
The bottom line is that the police will make the last decision on it.
Looks like doing those turnstiles was a master stroke.
-
The ground is designated as grade A, ie league standard so therefore whether we draw Millwall, Leeds ,Man U or anyone the ground is worthy of staging the fixture. Havants ground where Last years game with Millwall was moved to Pompey is not Moss Lane, there is no comparison. We have a perfectly segregated ground, experienced professional stewards so there should be no issue.
-
Will we get help from Millwall stewards in the same way we helped Kendal?

It's nice of GMP to communicate diretly with the users of a Millwall forum. ::)
-
If you believe that forum, then you need your head checked.
-
can you direct us to a decent Millwall forum?
-
These two are the best Ive found if theyre any use mate

2nd one is your best bet.
Although none of them are all that. We haven't got a decent forum.
-
what about the pink lions website is that still going? ??? :-\
-
I dont think they will move the game, if moss lane has the correct licendes which prove it can be used as a league ground there is no need to move it. An dont you think the Alty Fans would have been told by the club first if they plan to move the game else where so dont believe anything from their forum unless we hear it from Alty direct! They wont want move it anyway takes the excitment out of a non-league team drawing a a big club. Look at it this way Tamworth were able to hold the FA Cup 3rd round at there place against Norwich and the Lamb is a sh*t hole!!!!
-
The thread from the Millwall site is typical of their fans im afraid
>:(
I remember going to the New Den in the season we both got promoted to the championship and one of their supporters told a kid in a wheelchair that he was lucky Rotherham 'lost or he would have got a kick in'.
Being from London also means that their travelling support might not be as big as we hope.

We got the same crap off West Ham fans when they played us up here in the FA Cup. Londoners really don't have a clue do tey! ;D
They were giving it all of the 'get out of the dole queue to buy the tickets' rubbish when someone on their messagoard linked to the recent census that showed Macclesfield's unemployment rate to be much smaller than West Ham.
We played Millwall in the second division season and I have never been to a more hideous dump. It was like walking through beruit with all the high walls and razor wire to stop other cockney scallies from nicking their telly.
-
I go past their ground on the train into London sometimes and it is a fairly unpleasant area to say the least.

lol, that's a good one.

Mark,
Having had a couple of days to gauge your club's reaction to the draw how many fans do you think you'll bring realistically?
-
If we're allowed 1,300, then I'd say 1,000.
-
If we're allowed 1,300, then I'd say 1,000.
How come you would bring more to our place than Leeds? I presume you can see why this would seem odd to me? :)
-
80% of Millwall fans stayed away from Leeds because they knew there'd be trouble.
-
Fair enough. We look forward to welcoming you all to Moss Lane (in a far more friendly manner than those Leeds thugs saw fit at the weekend!)
-
:D
If it's on a Saturday, I will look forward to seeing you all.
If it's not, I can't go. :'(
-
I don't see it being on any other day to be honest. Leeds are on telly on the Friday night and Man Utd are at home on the Sunday. If anything it might be an early kick off on the Saturday but that's all.
-
cant you lot read its on your forum page saturday 10th november :P
-
Fair point that Mark. I suppose anyone with half a brain would do anything possible to stay away from Leeds v Millwall!! It would make for a good atmosphere if Millwall managed to bring 1000 decent football fans.

This is just the provisional date and time and may change after consultation with the authorities tomorrow as explained on the official site.

i shall ask millwall fc if its possible for them to send up stewards but they may want payment where as we done kendal for free but i will have to take this subject and ask the club about the security. but yes we are more than able to do this tie at moss-lane. up the alty

Not the ground itself (although to be fair.. You do share with Harchester!)
Just the utter slum that surrounds it.
-
The reason i didn't go to leeds was that I refuse to give Bates my money. Looking forward to Alty though, just a pity that all the hotels in Manchester appear to be full on the Saturday night.
You can expect Millwall to bring their own police (seriously) so stewarding won't be a problem.
-
I found 29 hotels with rooms available. Some are a bit pricey but you probably won't get another chance to visit Moss Lane.

Our game at havant was moved by the police, because of our rivalry with pompey. there was no segregation and intelligence (or lack of) told the ob pompey were going to be at the game. At least at Fratton pk the fans were kept well apart and police knew all the routes and stations etc. that game nearly crippled Havant. the police bill was going to be far more than they could generate through tickets and stuff. fortunately there was a decent crowd (8k ish if i remember rightly) and it covered the cost. i hope this dont ruin your big day in the same way.

Its great to hear positive comments from some of the Millwall guys posting on our forum,
Lets all look forward to a great game with a great atmosphere.

We hope for another 4 points this season!!
