While we're at it, why do we never have drinks prices disputes behind the bar or advertised in the CH, help people get their change ready as it were.

I would have thought that the bill of fare needs to be displayed by law?

The only pubs that I frequent that take contactless are Spoons. I agree that is quicker. most however have one card machine that is usually in use and waiting to authorise. Meanwhile the rest of us wait to be served.

You've obviously never used contactless.

The whole point is that there is no authorisation, it takes one second to put your card against the reader and it is done. Zero hold up to anyone and no fannying around with trips back and forth to the till and counting out change. Add to that the idiots that take a week to get their wallet out and start counting out the right money

PLUS the fact that contact less is quicker than cash!

Are we living in the dark ages or are all these comments from people who get paid in cash?

I for one in this day and age don't want to sit at home before I leave for a day out trying to predict how much cash I need for all eventualities.

Have any of you folks heard of contactless card payments yet? They are quicker than cash!!

The club have secured an 80 year lease on the ground (2095).

It replaces the current 22 year, rolling lease.

This means we are a more attractive proposition to investors and makes securing funding easier. Maybe some ground improvements are now more viable.

Looking up, at the bottom of L2, tonight's results mean that Trannie Rovers will be odds on to go down now. I'd say they'd need at least 7/9 to stay up. Given their last 2 are Plymouth away (currently holding onto the last play off spot) and Bury at home (still in with a shout of automatic) then they need snookers.  Some huge local pay days for us in that away end next season.

I'm not sure they're that doomed. They're only 2 pts behind Hartlepool with a much better goal difference. I'd be interested to see if they went down if they played on Friday nights again. Would be a huge advantage against some teams in this league.

Southport would kick themselves if they missed out on a match v Tranmere. I don't think they will though as it would require Alfreton to take 4 pts ie draw at Bristol Rovers.

I think playing on a Friday night versus part time sides should be banned. I know it is the same as a Tuesday, it is just the way I feel!

What about the pubs though? My top three away:

1. The Dartford Working Mans Club
2. The Rack of Ale, Dover
3. The Cornubia, Bristol.

Plus the snuff pub in Bath

From what I see we seem to have a firm but fair stewarding policy in so far as if no harm is done it is left or dealt with by a warning. This saves the risk of further trouble caused by persons defending a miscreant and things escalating plus we do not have the stewarding manpower to rigidly enforce. If a guy crosses the barriers but causes no fracas and returns then so be it, despite an offence being committed. Do we wish to see the likes of those goons at Forest Green headlocking a bloke for having a beachball? Not justifying smoke bombs by the way but again if we enforced rigidly then I suggest some of our own true supporters may now be on banning orders.

I agree, we have a fine balance at the moment. Even in situations outside of football the police just record the action and revist people in the comfort of their own homes. Like the riots a few years back.

In the South its a poor choice.

Bromley being the clear best option.

Boreham Wood and Havant = knuckle draggers

Gosport, probably see above but also not great transport wise

For Basingstoke see Havant...

We need to keep our fingers crossed for Whitehawk, in a suburb or Brighton
