Best for all parties.
Good luck
-
Cork? Did someone get a bung?
-
Very best of luck over there Ollie!
Hope you have a really good loan spell.
-
In fairness, the loan move will be ideal for the lad, hope it goes well Ollie. It will also be good for Ethan Ross knowing he will be the current No1 keeper.
-
I've been really impressed with the character Ollie has displayed - as well as the ability he clearly has. With development, and the good dose of confidence that every player needs, he'll make a fine keeper. I hope he can come back stronger from this loan.
-
Cork have thrown him straight in tonight at home to Shelburne.
-
I was wondering how this situation was going to pan out. I hope Ollie comes back all the better for it
Looking forward to seeing his replacement shine.

One nil down after 20 minutes.
-
0-2 after 75 minutes.
-
Beaten on his near post while stuck on his line for the first one. Didn't cover himself with glory on the second either. Three shots on target, two goals conceded. Not good.
-
I think it’s best we now leave the lad to settle in at Cork, no need to analyse his every game.

I've only analysed one game Ray. I believe the lad has made a massive error in going to a struggling club, and if the aim is to give him confidence it's going to be a big ask.

Fair enough
-
Tough place to go sat in the playoff spot. Hopefully it's a confidence boost and not an excecise in total morale destruction.
Little to be expected from dropping him in tonight though. I hope it goes better than I expect.
-
Cork fans generally thought he was ok. Big test away to table toppers Shamrock Rovers next.

My last word on the situation is that I really hope it's not a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire.
As others have said, they seem to be a relegation bound side. Having said that, if they can stay up and Ollie can play a role in that, it certainly must give his confidence a massive boost.
Best of luck Ollie. Hope you come back stronger and better for the experience. 💪🤞👍

As we all agree, goalkeeping is more brutal than other positions on the ptich. He saves either of those and people will say he's done really well. But sadly he was nowhere near either of them.
One thing he used to have going for him when we were unsure on other aspects (such as commending his box) was his general shot stopping. It appears at the moment that he's lost that too.
There's absolutely no way we could have started the season with him in goal, sorry to say it.

Give the lad a break now. Let's see how things work out.

Stopping the first goal requires making the goal smaller for the striker. If you are more stuck to your line than Matt Dickens you ain't got a chance at doing that.
If Ollie had made moves like Ethan does in this clip - https://twitter.com/altrinchamfc/status/1683803087167782917 it would have stayed 0-0 for Cork.
It's the fact it's mistakes such as communication and hesitation that lets me believe it is a coaching issue rather than a skill issue.
