was Matty Crowell the big guy at the back, red face and no 20 shirt - he looked pretty good, very strong in the air.

Having googled him the guy Im thinking of wasnt Matty - anyone know who he was?

Ah, I didn't realise!  :D

I was just guessing based on the team listed on the official website.    :)

I think Matt Heywood now - released from Grimsby in Feb 2010.

Unless they get offers from other teams, we may have 1 or 2 decent players to choose from.

Matty Crowell??

I thought he was in South Wales.

He was ! Newport apparently didn't fancy him. Let's hope THAT one comes back to haunt them.

Great perfromance by Damien Reeves when he came on for the second half plus a couple of useful trialists.

Don't know what anyone else thinks, but not sure from what I've seen in the two and a bit games I've seen so far that Michael Twiss is going to be the answer upfront ? I'd love to be made to eat my words but ?.....

But there again he is an improvement on McAliskey !!

Talking of whom ? Anybody know how his 'trial' at Tranmere went ?

I'll reserve judgement on Twiss until he gets fit which he clearly isn;t at the moment.

I'd quite forgotten until I was browsing this morning that Fraser McLachlan scored the opening goal in our 2-0 defeat at Morecambe in their promotion season !

I think Twiss is in a similar position to Dale last preseason... once he is match fit I think the goals will come. I was very impressed with Reeves and Holmes.

Didn't we win at Morecambe in their promotion season?

Thought it's about time I joined you lot!  so here goes!

GH and KM seem to have quite a few options judging by last night which was very entertaining I thought, defensively Marc Joseph looked OK, fit, sharp, very good distribution (better than Greg) but he doesnt look 6 ft and would be less commanding in the air, and looked right footed to me. Not sure about DA now, Brown is looking a real quality player now and maybe with Matty to come back why would GH want 3 left sided defenders? The big lad from Grimsby looked good in air but a bit off the pace?

Midfield, Holmes looks poss, big lad not sure about fitness, Nowland was organised but a holding player, the rest too early to judge. Up front, a relief to see Reeves can play, some nice touches, Twiss clearly needs to work on fitness at present but have a hunch he will be a great addition, good vision and great left foot.

I'm glad I'm not GH/KM, not easy but I trust them to make the right decisions. :-\
