Patrick Collins in today's Mail on Sunday has a most illuminating article on life at Doncaster Rovers. If some kind soul of a more technical bent than myself can download it, it makes interesting reading.

It deals mainly with agent Willie McKay's plan to approve all moves in or out of the club, in exchange for which he will organise loans of "well known" overseas players currently out of favour with their clubs (but don't expect to see Carlos Tevez strut his stuff at the Keepmoat Stadium).

And what of Rovers' manager ?

".....Dean Saunders, whose managerial talents are less than obvious. It is said that Saunders will have the power of veto over these comings and goings. Since Saunders is himself represented by McKay, this may not be an insuperable problem."

McKay also represents Joey Barton and El-Hadji Diouf, "so he is clearly fastidious in his choice of blue-chip clients."

By the way, is it my imagination, or are a certain now Knobsock free North Wales club sitting atop the Blue Square Premier ? Just asking !
