Well done on beating the Fools on the Hill to regain your football league status.

I can just imagine Portsmouth's fans turning up and being faced with tofuburgers. It could all have ended very unpleasantly.

When i think of our achievements and how hard we knocked on the football league door it irks when some johnny come lately strolls casually into the football league with little history a small fanbase after a money fuelled meteoric rise....it devalues the prize...so im glad for grimsby and delighted fgr had a £6m play off defeat...

Ah, how quickly you forget!

Grimsby Town were one of the protagonists who were complicit in the great Football League Re-election farce of June 1980 when we were denied entry into the old Division Four.

In the words of Morrissey:

"Beware!
I bear more grudges
than lonely high court judges."
