Why dont the club have an alty idol, where they have a big competition with every1 allowed to enter and then GH and DS choose 2 players to join the squad for a season to see what they are like. Would be great if we found an amazing player out there not contracted to a club!
any thoughts of that?

I think they run this scheme throughout the year in two competitions..

They're called the youth team and pre season triallists.

Would make more publicity if we called it the x factor trials but I'm not sure if the result would be any different...and all previous winners fade into obscurity like Nicky daws, ian craney etc...where are they now?
