Important announcement - tomorrows fans forum
« on: April 27, 2009, 07:29:41 PM »

Any chance we can see more than the usual 20 regular faces in attendance tomorrow? We've had a sucessful season, and those that want to speculate or have a question get an opportunity tomorrow to ask whatever they like. This fans forum will make a few quid for the club aswell,if enough people turn out for it and buy a couple of beers and watch the Bara v Chelsea game. Come on, lets show the club our support and turn out in good numbers.

It could be that there is nothing to discuss though and therefore the club shouldnt be despondent if nobody turns up.

Maybe the club have something they want to announce to the supporters?

Just looking at it from a different angle, it's an opportunity to enjoy a pint and watch the match whilst also putting a bit of extra money in the club's coffers.

We're always trying to find ways to utilise the club's facilities on non-matchdays in a way that benefits fans and club alike - here's an "open goal" of a chance to do so!

I'd love it if we could really maximise the potential of the club bar. I understand its all down to volunteers etc but how good would it be if we could have a bar open nightly to members showing big games, hosting events, quizzes, perhaps a darts team and so on. If we want to push on to the next level its a way of enabling it.

Agree 100%.

If money were no object I would love to build a bigger social club and have it open 7 days a week. It would pay for itself quite quickly if it was well run and promoted properly.

It would be great, but prove me wrong and let there be more than the same old 20 people in attendance tomorrow.......

Same here.......I am in Kendal until 5.30pm and my car aint fast enough.

I think it's fair to say that the start time will not suit a lot of people, but equally fair is the need to start early to enable the football to be screened. When all said and done the club are trying to make an enjoyable evening of things and raise some cash at the same time.

For those that cannot get to the forum on time, then I guess there is nothing wrong with coming down for a beer and to watch the match, talk about the season, get firsthand news from the forum etc

I presume that there will be some form of synopsis of the goings on on JL's quality site for those of us who reside in far flung fields? That does not exclude those that live in closer environs from attending.
