As a lifelong fan of the Brewers it would be remiss of us not to thank you for the part you played in enabling us to celebrate winning the Blue Square Premier yesterday.

Your manager was as good as his word in making sure that your team, which I have always found to be an honest and hard working side, kept going right to the end of the season, keeping Cambridge fighting for it right until the last.

Many Burton fans were gutted that you came to the Pirelli and ended our winning run back in January but on that day you more than derserved your result and yesterday you repaid the favour by stopping our 'friends' at the Trades Description Stadium.

I know there was a lot of partying done in Torquay last night and many glasses were raised as a toast to Altrincham FC. You have made many new friends in East Staffordshire over the last 24 hours!!!!!

You guys should keep Stuart Coburn in beer for life after yesterday.

Good luck next season, many seem to think you'll find it a rough ride but I'm not convinced the bottom third of L2 is as good as the conference.

Good luck in the league.

Have to say I'd rather have Cambridge in our league for the slightly higher gate and sense of occasion but we have no problems with either Cambridge or Burton and have no quibbles about wishing you all the very best.

Don't forget we also beat Cambridge at home so you do have a lot to thank us for!
