We are helping the Club by organising working parties over the next couple of weekends to help prepare for the Community Sports Hall construction.
This Sunday we will be moving the contents of the Club Shop, and nearby storeroom to other areas in the Ground.
The following weekend (May 17/18th) we will be demolishing the Club Shop and removing and stacking flags for disposal.
We will be starting around 10:30 each day, and would appreciate any help that you can provide over the two weekends. Any ‘porters trolleys’ or similar, would be really useful as well.
Getting the work done by supporters will take £7,500 off the project costs.
To give an idea of the number of people coming down, I'd be grateful if anyone interested could let me know what time they are able to provide. (Either reply to this message or by email to mford90@outlook.com)
Many thanks

What's actually being done with the flags, are they just being thrown away?

Sell them to fans.
I'd buy one

That's the kind of thing I had in mind, anything we can make a few quid from should be considered.

We have an agreement with one of our Corporate Club supporters who will be dropping off pallets for the flags to be loaded onto, and we will receive a contribution to the fund raising in return.
This does not preclude any supporters from popping in over the working weekend of 17/18th to take their own personal terrace space home with them, in return for a small donation.

I hope he isn't going to build a patio with them, then bury his misses under it :D

I have a two wheel stack truck which you can have (ideal for transporting flags). I'll try and drop it off a week tomorrow at the ground.

I heard they wear going for free not for sale

For info there are around 450 full size flags and 300 half size flags in good condition if anyone wants any they would make ideal patios or driveways,...for a suitable donation of course.

How much money do you need to donate

A quick reminder to all, after making a start last weekend, we are looking to continue preparation work for the Sports Hall this weekend.
Due to the match and then the FA Cup final on Saturday we don't anticipate much work being completed, however we would like to make a concentrated effort this Sunday. We believe that a lot of the work can be achieved on Sunday if we have around 20 people to help so I'd like to make a big plea for anybody that can spare some time during the day.
The work will be starting around 10:30am and if you are able to bring any appropriate tools/gloves it would be greatly appreciated.
There is a lot of work left to be done, but with a concentrated effort we can get this finished.
Again, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if you are able to come down to help. (either by email or message on here.) Any questions, just ask!
Many thanks,
