There's some exciting news on the club's website now.
-
whose taking our 60,000 pound final penalty at 10pm next tuesday then

Wow. Massive for both us and Gateshead
-
We've got all the incentive we need now!
And so have gateshead.
We could get some nice seats with decent leg room for old codgers like me in the central third of the popular side with that! 😉
-
Hoping to come back to ground for this one, subject to my hip being more mobile. Now on crutches instead of frame. Wonder if I can use disabled sector at front of main stand, as not sure if seats are too short of legroom. Or I could just stand and lean on a barrier, they are a good height.

Salford on again. They really shouldn’t get paid extra tv money every round it is totally unfair
-
I can't go should we win the replay, space for a new fan instead!

I don't like it but it's ITV who are looking at the ratings and making a commercial decision. Who they give the fee to doesn't matter to them, it's about keeping advertisers happy.

At the risk of descending into hyperbole, it would be worth much more than that.
£22,629 prize money for reaching the Second Round + £60,000 ITV money + gate receipts, sponsorship revenue etc. from the match against Charlton Athletic.
Plus another £34,000 if we were to defeat Charlton Athletic....and then a potential goldmine in the Third Round draw which could even cover the cost of building a new exterior wall along Golf Road.
To generate those sort of financial rewards for merely 90 minutes' work, you would need to have a second job like Sir Geoffrey Cox.

Cox.

Can we bring back Durrell on loan?
Had ice in his veins, that lad.

An air of arrogance about him too. Mostly merited.

Mostly at NLN level nowadays I suspect.
