Linfield (who once offered Colin Little a contract worth twice as much as we could afford - only to be turned down
) have their first winnable European fixture in years. Admittedly it's only because the Northern Irish coefficient has dropped from poor to f**king awful, thus seeing them enter at the earliest stage possible. But still, a chance to win in Europe is fun. B36 of the Faroe Islands are the opposition. Surely they'll progress?
Cypriot champions await the winners. AEL Limassol. Judging by APOEL's exploits last season and some other creditable European performances by Cypriot sides in recent years (Famagusta, for example), you'd have to say they've no chance there. Plus the away leg will be played in July and the Ulstermen will die of heat exhaustion anyway.
