Nice gesture
« on: May 01, 2013, 04:48:41 PM »

Apparently the Brackley players and management paid for all their away fans to get into the game yesterday.

Perhaps we should suggest that ours do the same for us on Saturday...?

Would have cost them probably £10 each.

We'll probably have 400-500 there... It would cost the club way to much

Perhaps they did not want the embarrasment of playing in a play-off semi in front of 12 fans

Even if the club subsidised the cost of the supporters coaches, it would be a nice gesture in recognition of the fantastic away support this season. Not short of a bob or two after this season's cup run.

....and with 50 taking up the offer proof you can't always get results by chucking money at it.

I think some people's tongue in cheek radars are a little off.

Decent gesture and wasn't expected. Handed to us before the game, made our official away attendance drop from about 70 odd to 40 though!

It's my own fault really. Everyone on here knows that when writing jokes, you must put the key words in bold and add four or five exclamation marks at the end.

Hang on...

So they didn't pay for you to get in?

They gave you the unsused players family tickets that have to be allocated under the playoffs rules?

Nice gesture still but rather different from paying for you to get in.
