....an 18 month deal with Southport, having been released from his jail sentence, and just in time to turn out at Moss Lane on Saturday.
Do read John Laidlar's site on this one - extravagant and embarrassing eulogy from Liam Watson is truly cringeworthy.
-
Complete knob head, but a decent player.
-
I love the sentence which tells us that it was “‘cognitive impairment' that caused Lacey to breach the anti-doping rules”
Is that something to do with short planks, two of?
-
I trust that the club is on full alert in case he attempts to pay for an entry into the 'guess the attendance' competition with a £20 note.

While we are on the subject of idiots who can play football is Marshall out of jail yet?

He’s definitely out of prison and I think he plays for Stafford Rangers.
-
I remember Paddy Lacey as a hard working, combatative midfielder, but nothing special and don't recall massive disappointment at his departure. Had I been him, I'd have snapped Southport's hand off at the offer of an 18-month contract. Seems generous, particularly under the circumstances.
More importantly, will there be any news on loan signings for us?
-
I thought he was a decent player that we should have given more time.

Interesting you should mention him as I was thinking the other night how we could do with two big reliable centre backs like Gianluca Haven and Tom Marshall.
Then I looked at the league table for the promotion season and see at this stage we were 6th against 7th this time.
I'd love to know how the goals for and against compared.
-
Lacey seemed half decent - typical mad Liverpudlian gone off the rails - in some respects hope he sorts himself out
Masha ! Shocked when I learned of his misdemeanours - not a bad player for us though
-
Promotion season we had the second best defence in the league, 51 goals conceded, and the best attack, 95 goals scored.
-
Did Southport not sack 2 players earlier this season for drug offences?

I note that Chorley and Stockport have conceded far fewer than anyone else this season.
-
I'm not suprised about Stockport but Chorley should have conceded a couple more last Saturday. They were wobbling in the first half hour.
