Title: Kingston/Wimbledon weather report.
Post by: SW on January 05, 2010, 11:51:36 PM
Snowing now, fairly steadily, first we've had here. I'd say about about an inch in the last hour or so. Still falling. Pretty cold, car says 0.5C.

When would a decision regarding the AFC Wimbledon match be made - Friday or Saturday morning?

Is this one a planned overnight stop for us?

Wimbledon called off the Wrexham game on Monday afternoon, (Tuesday 7:45 fixture). I'd assume they would decide on Friday but if the team intend to travel prior to this maybe someone should tell Wimbledon.

As it looks now out of my window plus the forecast , sadly I'd say no chance.

I changed my sodding work rota too, Grrrr!

At least a foot of snow overnight in Beaconsfield - we get it worse because of the chilterns but I'm not hopeful!

Tuesday night to Kingstonian I think!

I'm on call for a week, Wednesday to Wednesday. I've swapped Saturday for next week.....meaning I can't go to Ebbsfleet, and I'll be on call still if its moved to Tuesday! Deep joy.

Snowed on and off all day in KT1 but it was 2C so its no deeper now than last night, around 15-20cm. The temperature however is dropping now and with a freeze on top of partially thawed snow it will be treacherous tomorrow. Forecast is for 0C tomorrow and 1C on Friday, now with an overnight of -2C.

I don't want to say no chance but I'd be VERY surprised if its not called off Friday morning.

If he pitch is frozen under the snow, then there is no chance for Saturday with the temps forecast, Tuesday is also a non starter in my book. Suggest a week on Tuesday. Not good. :-[

As opposed to the actor Deep Roy who played all the Oompaloompas in the Johnny Depp film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

As the next 5 day weather forecast for down here is that the temperatures will not rise above freezing (even daytime) I dont think there is any chance of the game being played next Tuesday, never mind Saturday. Plus there is more snow forecasted for 4 of the next 5 days.

The game will be postponed. There is no chance of it being played on Saturday.
