Title: Management Structure
Post by: AFC56 on September 19, 2010, 10:16:55 AM
Given the current turmoil is now the right time to look at the management structure?
Firstly, Is it necessary to have a full time manager of a part time team?
Would it be better to have a part time manager and use the money saved on the playing staff?
Secondly, what is role of the managers assistant? Wouldn't an assistant who played be of better value?

I mentioned on another thread the idea of having a player/assistant; a decent pro coming towards the end and looking for the first step on the ladder.

Not sure who is out there, Tony Grant springs to mind of an example of the sort of player.

Think it makes a lot of sense both financially and man-management.

Will be Ken's or his successor's call though.
