I've been meaning to upload this for ages and finally got around to doing it this evening. For those that haven't seen it before, enjoy watching Alty's best team of the last 25 years

The Chequers!  Look at some of those adverts!  Who was the ref? Had a Cheshire badge on, but I can't place him.

I'll chomp on that - I seem to recall that it wasn't segregation but the centre section was closed for safety reasons as the roof was about to fall down.

I remember the meeting in chequeres on what the ground requirements  were needed to get into the football league
A toilet and a turnstile but sadley it was the team that ran out of steam in the end

Thanks for posting this, my first season as an Alty fans,  amazing football, Paul Shower and Ken McKenna stood out for me, agree the final few matches were very strange results, remember being so puzzled at the capitulation

The Stafford game at the end of the season was also covered by BAe Sportscast and the match was played on a Sunday afternoon. I've never seen a recording of the game - has anyone? I'm not sure I'd want to relive it mind, particularly Martin Lewis' horrendous miss near the end where he had his head in his hands almost the moment he made contact with the ball...

I have a compilation of all the games by BAe Sportscast from that season, which includes brief highlights of the Stafford game.

That was the worst footballing week of my life.

The Martin Lewis miss was unbelievable.
