BBC on the premiership

Just read a good piece from the bbc about why there is no atmosphere in the premiership. Then i read this line:

It may seem a bit last ditch, but someone has now brought a drum to the games. Most people hate them but, really, it does generate atmosphere."

Ha ha!  Oh dear!  There really is no place for drums at football, it's embarrasing that Vics fans think it's good.  :-\

If you ask me they should be banned, there really is no effort in banging a drum 4 90mins. The passion and effort comes vocally thats how a true support should support their team!

drums and trumpets are great with a crowd to go with them, ideally every home game should be a carnival atmosphere for the home team,

i'd love to see an alty band to be honest 8)

I went to an ice hockey match at Alty last season and there was a T**t with a drum in there. Iwas told it is there for every home game. I have not been since. Guess what will happen if we got a regular drummer at ML? That would be one less season ticket sold.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I think drums should be banned at Moss Lane. Fans who bring them should be advised to put their drums back in their car/coach or refused entry to the ground.

I'm not too sure about other places but i think it does work at teams like  portsmouth. They manage to make the drum part of atmosphere.
