things weren't any different then. they spent their time watching the game. we need to learn from clubs like stockport, southport and chester. doesn't have to be heavy handed or over the top, just organised and efficient.

Correct.

Also, of all the players to rest for a cup game maybe Hulme should have been the player to rest?

Not sure what the problem is here? We got to stand in that final third of the pop side in the first half when we needed it. Second half it is completely vacant. Given the biblical weather and the facilities we have empty and available, why wouldn’t we let them use it?

So just for the record, you want the round fully segregated after BPA, but your happy to have four poeple act as a segregation wall for a load of county fans.

They had been given a roof for protection from the elements. If we are going to give them the pop side it should be a decision to do so pre match not because we've allowed our three stewards to be put in a dangerous situation. Took our main safety office above a good five minutes to go over and our chief office a further five to run round. Nigel was quicker to ask us to remove a Macc flag.

I witnessed our stewards bullied into giving them that area of the terrace by climbing over the wall and shouting about taking the terrace.

We've now fans on their forum talking about just using the home end going forward. Granted very little might happen. But you could have said BPA and Coalville wouldn't hapoen.

Away fans should not be in the same home bar. We've a giant wall we can put up if absolutely necessary.

For the record, we will never know if Hulme had been given a reprieve of a yellow without county fans in that family stand balling the ref for a red.

I hope Jordans red was for something after the tackle because it looked like a foul the other way

Thankfully your useless, safety officer is away for the New Years game. So step up and show us how to steward a game properly. I can supply you with the stewards contact details, details for Stockport stewards and a company that also supplies us stewards when I ask them. I’ll be at the ground at about 1115 for the Darlington game so I can show what I do.
A warning to any potential applicants, whatever you do will always be criticised.
Enjoy my generous remuneration package. There’s plenty of zeros in it.

There will always be criticism when our home ground is turned over to the home fans. Especially when there's no chance four stewards would have held back those fans if anything have had happened in the second half (I e an equaliser)

Want to let county fans have a beer pre match? Use that big wall.
Want to let county fans have a beer pre match? Turn the £35 hospitality area into a bottle and food bar and offer hospitality in NWS or half / third of the bar
Want county to have seats give them the MG seats.

No county fans should be allowed in the main stand or home end

Let all the county fans take the popular side by ignoring the stewards and wandering through.

They had a roof in the family stand.

Will we ever learn ? Talk all you want about change. Were still as spinless as ever.

That's the trophy done for another year.

I'm enjoying watch the eleven players of Altrincham on the pitch at the moment.

I would like to see the club try harder (and by club those in official capacities) and re connect with old fans. The cost of acquiring new fans at their level of loyalty - or converting floaters to that level is very high.

The club are burying their head in the sand as much as those staying away. There's hundreds of ways to get some of the stay aways back and probably twenty decent ideas to get the very hardcore of that movemtn back (if they want to and don't have other things they'd rather be doing.)

The situation isn't all black and white. New chairman or same chairman etc.

Maybe we just need a good old fashioned amnesty day.

Hi everyone, I've just posted something on the club's website about a Christmas Toy Appeal that is being launched by Smart Storage at our game against Ashton United on Saturday. It's a great cause, if you could possibly have a quick look and try to spread the word to give it the best possible start. Cheers.

John, is there an option to make a donation in lieu of a gift? It's an excellent cause.

I also suspect our contract won’t include bottle bars and other areas of the ground

Mainly because the snack bars were t permitted to sell alcohol when the contract is signed and package and draft contracts are usually separate entities (even if there is cross over between the two)

Our first phone call when the contract is up for tender should be to Heineken. So many brands in their portfolio including the aptly branded red stripe, who I’m sure could be convinced to do some pretty slick activations

It’s a pretty poor contract we’ve signed for it to last this long - CSH funding or no CSH funding

It’s got nothing to do with numbers

Chester causes a gain amount of aggro with a handful a few years back

Somethings will never change

I really can’t believe the bullsh*t that is being written about a bit of paint. Is it April Fools’ Day?

The issue isn't wish the paint but the choice of wording. Nobody seems to have an issue with the other side that says ALTY.

It's clearly a publicity stunt, but it needs painting over again asap.

Maybe the sports business have finally decided to do something?
