Title: MY TEAM FOR WEEKEND BY TONY AND ROBERT

      OLLERENSHAW

       JONES                                    LEES

LAWTON                                                                        BROWN

LYNCH

DENSMORE                                                  CLEE

TWISS

         REEVES                           MULHOLLAND

SUBS:

SUMMERSKILL
RICHMAN
COBURN
COOMBES
FEARON

Rob, I Think we need to start ollerenshaw because we have been caught out by looping goals in last two games. this new radical 433 formation is cool.

Tony, 433 formation, with twiss playing just behind reeves & mulholland.also plenty of options on the bench if lynch has a bad day.

10 goals let in in 6 games why not give josh a try,he seemed a good keeper in the pre season matches.

Stu was a bit shaky with a few shots on Saturday, but I guess we could just blame it on the wet pitch. Maybe we could put Ollrenshaw in for Fa Cup and/or Fa Trophy Qualifying Rounds?

I think we need to tighten up at the back which is why i'd play Lynch in a holding role in front of the back four. I've not left Twiss out because i blame him for everything like some on here do but i reckon Reeves would operate better as alone striker and we'd still create plenty of chances playing with two wingers and Densmore could also push forward a a bit with Lynch sitting back. Oh and dropping your first choice keeper for an untried youngster who looked quite shaky in pre season for the FA Cup is one of the oddest things i've heard for a while!

untried youngster hes 21 years of age in oct,and coburn is well under form 10 goals in 6 games every shot seems to go in these days.its coming to the point where im thinking please dont shoot, and how can you play danylyk hes been terrible in 6 games played so far no goals i think hes had 3 shots in 6 games and sent off to boot on monday.

I'm not defending anything...I just think it's a bit bizarre to be criticising a defensive midfielder for not scoring enough.

Im just concerned by coburn lack of scoring... He should be scoring more of the freekicks he' takes

And tolson should be scoring too...

Whilst I am sure that Stuart will be unhappy with the goals against record this year, I don't think I have seen many soft ones go in.

And some have been wonder goals as well, although partly because the defence has given the striker time to get it down, look up and pick his spot.

From what I have seen of Josh he isn't quite ready to start yet in my opinion.

                         Coburn

Lawton      Jones          Lees        Flynn

                 Danylyk       Lynch

     Richman     Densmore        Clee

                         Reeves

Assuming Flynn is fit, otherwise Brown at Leftback.

Also depends if Jamie Lawrie is fit and cleared to play. Would put him ahead of Richman, and play densmore on the right.

I think we need to play 5 at the back until we stop conceding too many stupid goals.Nobody plays 4-4-2 anymore apart from manchester united, and they have the players to play whatever way fergie wants. At the moment we are playing two midfielders as full backs and new centre backs still sussing each other out, the three centre backs and clee and Richman as wing backs and twiss behind a front two would be my prefered team with danylyk and lynch in the middle

I think if we are going to play wing backs then it'd still be Lawton and Brown there as they both have the stamina and pace to work the line or possibly Densmore on the right. I can't see Richman as a wing to be honest and Clee would be wasted as he'd have to spend alot of the game defending.

                      REEVES                           MULHOLLAND

I really dont know that much about football but from the last few games this is my analysis.

You just cannot beat this formation and options considering what we have.

Lynch has men all round him in circle.

Alll the players are in a kind of triangle diamond formation that that penetrates any team.

If thing get a bit tricky we can bring the two defenders back and bring twiss and lynch together side by side.

I think we should convert the popular side into a Mosque.

Really cash in on the under-tapped Islamic market.

Saying that I am really keen for a Roof Terrace. It would allow smoking in the Carole Nash main stand!

The lord giveth and the lord taketh away.

Time to BE.

I think that Mulholland would create many corners, free kicks and even penalty chances. he was supperb when we was down to ten men on saturday and about 10 more minutes he would have got through their defence and scored or created a chance for us.

You have to keep in mind that on Saturday we were down to 10 men and Astley's brief was to create an outlet so we could play long balls out and or into the corners that he could run onto and just relieve some pressure. It's very different from when it's 11 v 11 and space is very congested.

I'm not saying there isn't more to come from him but I think sometimes like with this bizarre Ollerenshaw idea we're going back to English cricket in the 80s where you become a better player in other peoples eyes by not actually being in the team.

The truth is we don't have a big enough squad to really change things around too much at all, which is frustrating. I certainly think we need at least one more utility midfielder/fullback. Someone like Pete Doran (and I only use him as an example as he's someone I've seen, no idea what he does now or what other players are out there but of recent Alty players someone like him, not necessarily saying he was good or bad enough)

Peter Doran would walk into this team. currently at Bala Town.

Likewise, Stevie Connors. Absolutely beast our midfield.

We could have a decent fundraiser for 'guess the number of yellow cards'

Also on the subject of past players, is it time for our monthly Tom Kearney and Matt Doughty update?

Last time I checked it was: Missing in action, presumed dead.

what is so wrong with choosing ollerenshaw?

he deffo wouldnt have let that looping goal in.  all he had to do is lift an arm and jumps out of the way of the ball??

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI9HmnVQWJE play from 5:14 onwards.

I got a direct line of the shot from where I was recording.

I am really trying to help here.

I happen to be in the right place at the right time to see things.

Having just taken the time to watch that Robert, it looks an even better finish in off the bar than I thought at the time.

The jumping out of the way is whats known in the goalkeeping trade as "diving".

Are you a keeper Robert?

You have to keep in mind that on Saturday we were down to 10 men and Astley's brief was to create an outlet so we could play long balls out and or into the corners that he could run onto and just relieve some pressure. It's very different from when it's 11 v 11 and space is very congested.

I'm not saying there isn't more to come from him but I think sometimes like with this bizarre Ollerenshaw idea we're going back to English cricket in the 80s where you become a better player in other peoples eyes by not actually being in the team.

No I'm not a keeper but there was no need to dive...... just raise an arm!

I really dont know how it went in tbh. should have saved it

I think I would have saved that myself..shocking!

You'd have loved Craig Dootson last season then...

Our goalkeeping coach is also the kit supplier and he comes on here, so hopefully he has made a note of the "put your arm" up advice and will pass it on.

 ;DLogic does work...

Its best to make direct change sooner rather then later..if eventually you have to change anyway.

Bringing this new guy in for a month just adds confusion and a dropped player? we will see

Id rather play with what we have and work it out with what we have got already.

Maybe it will be worth it...

But really I think we are ok with what we already have unless some players can't attend for some reason.

And if changes are made we could be alot better.

Bringing this new player in on a short loan makes us look cheap and it makes us look as if we need a new player and we dont.

Why not play the younger players.

We are great as we are if we play em.

We will see tommorrow cant wait!
