The implication that there is nobody but Grahame Rowley who could possibly be chairman of Altrincham FC is absolute rubbish.

If we get relegated this season, as now seems almost certain, it would be such an abject failure for this football club at every level that I cannot see how GR could in all conscience do anything but resign. He is hugely to blame for the appointments of the two Neils.

There is a virus of failure and despair running deeply throughout this club and the only cure now may be to remove everyone - board, manager, players - associated with this horrific period and start with a clean, untainted slate next season in the Evostik.

Nicely vague when it comes to naming names. Of course there are other folk capable of chairing the club, but they have to want to do it, and have the capacity to do it now.

So I ask the same question, to be replaced by?

Stop being so tedious about this. Rowley needs to go and then a new chairman will be chosen from the people who want to take it on. I wouldn't have been able to name Geoff Goodwin as a chairman elect before he stepped up.
