Absolutely loved listening to that! Huge congratulations to Marine and their 1200+fans today and I suppose (after last week) it's a case of giving it large to Macc fans on social media all evening 🤣🤣🤣

While he was generally woeful during his short tenure, we should never forget that he signed Tom Hannigan.

As I recall Tom had a bad injury record and it was Parky who made him in to what he was to become.

Not going to town with Neil Young's tenure at Alty.....but didn't his record that woeful season turn out to be better than Jim Harvey's and the caretaker roles ?

To be fair....his achievements at Chester and Marine are decent and I won't knock that...several promotions and the nirvana that is the FA Cup 3rd round !

I think he needed to step away to find his mojo again - he'd been dreadful at Stockport prior to joining us and his turnover of players should have been cause for alarm given that he adopted the same tactic with us and filled the squad with absolute dross.

He undoubtedly set us into the tailspin that season from which I doubt any manager could have recovered us from.
