I'd pick Cooper instead of Roscoe, but other than that, that's the team we should put out.

Nothing between Cooper and Roscoe for me, both decent. So thats how id line us up

Surprised how well Ebbsfleet have started.

Alty 2-2 Ebbsfleet. (Con-Clarke, Amaluzor)

Sadly, I think we're heading for an odd goal defeat (but I'd absolutely love to be proved wrong!). Going down to Bristol for the weekend so we'll miss this one - and the Supers usually win in these circumstances. Let's just hope that run continues!! 😉

Impressed with Sithole's pressing on the Bolton B highlights. Massively missed Linney's pressing.

Nothing against Angus at all, but he plays similar to Dinanga and maybe better option coming off the bench.

Do we know whether Linney will be back within a month?

I think the month thing might be an initial month if it's going well.

Great signing! We're rapid already, but now we have probably the fastest front three in the league with Sithole, Amaluzor, and Donowa up front.

If we can find some success with the cross-field balls that Osbourne was making at York I think we could really stretch teams if we can make the opposition bunch on either side of midfield.

Alty 2-2 Ebbsfleet. (Con-Clarke, Amaluzor)

They haven't started THAT well! After winning at Rochdale on the opening day, they've only picked up 1 point out of the last 12 available on their travels - indeed they've only picked up 1 point from their last 3 games. Now we have reinforcements we really ought to be able to beat them.

To be fair on the road we have struggled, the scoreline in all of our away games have flattered us in all honesty. But thats to be expected, huge step up from National League South!

Predicting Altrincham 3-1 Fleet - looking forward to the trip down though!

Ebbsfleet are well backed and absolutely walked the NLS last season with over 100 points, having narrowly missed out the season before (an injury time equaliser from Dorking if I recall).

They've managed to keep hold of Dominic Poleon, who many suspected would be a 'dark horse' for the league's top scorer this season.

Currently 9th which is exactly where I saw most fan predictions place them - which I suspect will be roughly accurate. They'll be the strongest promoted team by a mile.

Hopefully they'll end up being much stronger at home than on the road, which seems to be the case so far.

We need start being more positive and let them worry about us, as everyone else suggests - any sitting back will just allow them to feed their star man.

Now that we have a couple of loan signings I’m even more optimistic for a positive outcome tomorrow.

Alty 3 - 0 Ebbsfleet

2104 att.

Cmon Alty..

Looking forward to seeing Sithole and Newby. Could both start? Hope Amaluzor is on from the beginning and we don’t sit back. I can see us fielding an attacking 3-4-3 / 3-5-1. If not then our most prolific formation 4-2-3-1 now that we have some more personnel. Cooper & Baines to start to keep Poleon from scoring and I hope Crikey continues to improve.

3-0 Alty

That's the first time this season I've seen the lineup and been fired up about it.

Come on Parky let's just get at them every game FFS - we're better than the vast majority of teams in this league (oh, and Baines is your best defender btw).

Absolutely delighted and we've got Regan, Kossy to come back too.

Let's get a run going.

Yeah, not bad that. I'll have whatever Louis Donowa is on - the poor lad must be absolutely knackered after the mileage he put in today!

Yeah agree Donowa was superb . That's the way to strike back from a lean spell of results   when we're on the front foot we can beat anyone . The Newby impresed too 😀
Three unbeaten so off we go 🤞

Fantastic first half stop cocking about playing sideways and play attacking football
And you get the result.
2nd half we relaxed to much and invited pressure for long periods, you know there is no
Way back when you miss a penalty, stepped it up in injury time and hurt them again with our attacking football.
To tough away games coming up,but take six points from them and we will be around the
Playoffs.

Miles better in that first half. Didnt need to chase a result because we got a decent margin.
We looked far more comfortable and dangerous in that formation.
Keep Donawa at RB. Played really well and got forward. Confident he is better than Banks. Silly foul by Banks for the pen.
Newby work rate was excellent. He looked relaxed and intelligent on the ball. Very similar to his brother.
Just a shame we have dropped so many points being so defensive / wrong formation in games.
A worry in CM if Osborne is injured for Tuesday.
Cooper wasn't great, hopefully James Jones is back soon. So much better with Baines in that 11.
How good is Ethan Ross?
I would start Sithole on Tuesday. We looked much better pressing in that first half.

Superb first 45mins, dog sh*te next 40mins, superb last 10mins.

Donowa and Amaluzor looked brilliant, the sheer pace of them is terrifying.

Newby a great addition and fitted in perfectly.

Rosss' penalty saved killed them

Great afternoon

Great result, superb first half. Started the second half in 2nd gear and invited them on to us. Losing Justin and Ozzy affected us. Once they missed the pen I felt more confident.

Dior wasn’t at his best today, he was a bit Teflon, nothing sticks to him. He also missed a superb chance 2nd half.

Newby was good. Ethan is a very good keeper. Not sure about Banks.

I would give Gez Sithole an outing on Tues instead of Dior.

My MoM would have been Isaac..

Super 3 pts and good for the goal difference

Well done lads.

Refreshing to see such an attacking team and it payed off. Keep that back 5 for a bit now and make James Jones earn his place back. Donowa and Amaluzor linked very well. Nobody had a bad game and we finally put a team to the sword.

We should have attacked York, Fylde, Hartlepool and Dagenham like that. Go to Maidenhead on Tuesday and get attacking them from minute 1.

So happy with a great attacking performance

Hopefully Parky continues with Donowa at RB.
I said at the start of the season, having both Justin's on the same side would be frighting for teams.
Their pace would cause any team problems.
He also defended very well.

Just got back after several delayed trains to top off the demolition.

Fair play you lot were the first team to take their chances against us. Your number 10 is the best player I've seen us face this season reminded me of a non league Rooney in terms of style.

Despite the result had a cracking day out, great pubs very friendly locals.

All the best for the season, hope we stay up and can come again next year 👍

A great result and great afternoon, superb from Parky, Sorvs and the lads! Biggest win at this level for 30 years I believe?

All the forwards did well, CCC looks back on form and it looks like a good bit of business to get Alex Newby in on loan for a few months.
It was an open game and the difference was probably our forwards, Ebbsfleet dominated the second half too much, couldn't score and we then scored 2 more at the end.

Hope Elliot Osbourne is OK as he's been on good form in midfield.

I contend that this on its own lays down real optimism for the rest of the season and I think is a credible indicator for rivals new and old to be afraid... be very afraid!!!

Hopefully Parky continues with Donowa at RB.
I said at the start of the season, having both Justin's on the same side would be frighting for teams.
Their pace would cause any team problems.
He also defended very well.

You and me both mate, although it's clear we'd all started to get so conditioned by Parky's handbrake so far this season that most of us defaulted to Banks at right back in our suggested XI's, and not Donawa. I'm sure most of us were delighted at 2pm when it was clear we were going for it.

I know it's been suggested that Justin Amaluzor play on the left but I think that's why he needs to continue on the right, as defenders won't know whether to cover the cut inside or the overlap.

Alex Newby could potentially solve a few different issues - firstly with what he brings himself, but also the fact we don't have to consider Donawa in the forward positions - even more so once Kossy is back - and then lastly it was his brother's arrival that spurred Cricky's spectacular upturn in form last season. Given their (genetic!) similarities he could well do the same.

Parky was completely right to experiment with systems once it was clear we were practically safe last season - but the crucial part of an experiment is to conclude if something DOESN'T work, and not to persist until it does - especially now we're well into the next season.

We need to:
- return to a back four (if we're really greedy, find a top class right footed CB);
- return to attacking full backs that has served Parky sides so well;
- start the same team every week (and rest players when they're actually tired);
- stop players getting ao tired in the first place by using subs earlier.

As Shankley once said, football is a simple game overcomplicated by idiots...

If it's any consolation, judging by your fans' comments on Twitter it sounds like you're going through the same stuff as us - especially tinkering with defensive systems.

Yesterday was the first time the manager stopped messing about and named the most positive team selection he could go with - and it just happened to be you guys on the end of it.

Home form is a big thing for promoted teams in this league, so as long as you can turn your place into a fortress and get the odd point on the road you'll be OK.

See you later this season.

Just in from work and seen that neither Ross or Baines were in the team of the week. Seriously? Well done to CCC, but I thought Ross & Baines were excellent yesterday as well as many more.

I really hope Phil Oarkinson does not mess with the team. Maybe the CF but not the rest. I don’t think Banks or J.Jones get back in this team. We need to keep this shape and attacking prowess.

Maidenhead 1-4 Alty (CCC, Sithole,Baines)
