The bit that worries me is County adding themselves to the market for top quality part-time players.
So that is us as the best side in Cheshire, in the same market as Stockport, Chester, Scouseport, Hyde, Stalybridge and Macc, with Accrington not far behind.
They seem to have resigned themselves to no longer being a professional full time club OR are they in that much financial trouble that they can no longer afford to gamble on being full time?

They have big financial problems. Simple as that.

No doubt they will announce "Project Premier League" in the next few days.

Our selling point to players is our stability.  We pay up, in full, on time and there is a lot to be said for that.  If other clubs pay more and blokes want to go there then that's something we can't easily control.  Given the financial mire that County must be in I doubt they'll be offering more than us.

and if they wanted a contracted player they would have to pay a transfer fee , we are a better option at the moment to players, even if they go part time

He's right about Reeves. Lightweight and useless outside the box.

Wouldn't even bother marking him to be honest.

Talking to one of there fans.
They would like to go BUST, and start on the ladder again.

Two relegations in three seasons, crippling rent to pay on Edgeley Park and a new manager every three months. They'll be queuing up to sign for County in the summer I bet. To use that old Confguide WUM term; progressive, well run, stable etc etc.

from their point of view, looking at Chester's progress, clean start etc - makes sense.

No doubt they will announce "Project Premier League" in the next few days.

They did that a few years ago - and ended up in the Conference Premier!

“We have been looking at budgets and I’ve been speaking to shareholders, asking them how much they are going to put in.

“There are four of us who have kept the club going and all four of us are willing to put in more money next year.

“We’re setting a budget that’s going to give us a great opportunity of going straight back up into the Conference Premier.

“We aren’t going down and thinking we need to survive; we’re going to go for it but we won’t be spending ridiculous amounts of money.”
