As reported on John Laidlar's website, the former Altrincham Fc director Ernie Fryer died last night at the age of 84.

I believe that he was in the same primary school class as the much-missed George Heslop.

A lovely man, always a kind word for everyone and very much a lover of football. RIP Ernie :(
