As there has been no league game for a week I thought I would get this thread started nice and early.

I'll be very, very surpirised if we don't win this one.
Alty  3-1 Eastwood
1 for Redshaw, 2 for Reeves, Sheridan with the Eastwood goal.
Attendance 734 (23 Eastwood) I know nothing about Eastwood Town, only that they're in Nottinghamshire, but judging by other teams in this league they're bound to bring a very small following.

All I ask is that we persist with the tactic of keeping it on the deck wherever possible and that we get a win. 1-0 with a late tap-in will be perfectly satisfactory.

This fixture needs treating with utmost respect. The new manager John Ramshaw is a wily North Eastern fox who was a former manager of Leek Town and assistant manager to Paul Cox (ex Eastwood boss and now Mansfield Town gaffer). He will certainly do his background on us and I expect a fair competition. Rammers as he is known also runs Soccer coaching schools in the States during the summer period.

Often known for the direct long ball approach, his strategy is often not pretty but effective with a big target man.

He was also instrumental in the success of Hucknall Town in its rise through a few divisions, he's certainly no mug and will demand 100% effort from his squad.
