As they say, every picture tells a story! & this is very telling!

Plus the alty picture only shows about half of what the droylesden one does.

A plus for northwich will be the attendance last night. 1875.

A picture does only tell have a story. I'm not sure when the photo was taken, people are still coming up the steps so clearly people are still entering the ground. I think they did take a few to be fair, there's around 90 in that photo. The attendance was 1,875. I don't think there was over 1,700 Vics fans there, do you?

I realise that Droylsden is by no means far from Northwich and that it was their first away match and in that respect its an abismal following but you have to remember how much more that match means to us!

According to the Vics forum the attendance of 1,875 is bollocks. It was apparently more like 875.

That's a good turnout compared to the depths we now find ourselves in.  Scarborough had about 300 of the 427 at Teversal on Saturday for the new club's opening fixture in the Northern Counties East League.  Teversal's average last season was less than 100.

Blue Square looks very appealing from down here!

Last seasons averages according to Tony Kempster

Vics 972 + Droylsden 504 = 1476

Dunno, basically.

According to more than one Northwich fan, their attendance looked well under 1,000 last night. If they are saying that, then I reckon it's a pretty safe bet they got nowhere near 1,400 let alone 1,800.

Teversal 2 - 1 Scarborough

I hope things take a turn for the better soon. I would like to see Scarborough move back up the footballing tree.

I think that it is a League Cup game next midweek from memory.
