In case some of you miss it on the other thread, here is a piccy of next season's away kit, minus the correct sponsor's logos

:)

abit too m*cc for my liking
would have preferred the orange and black option if the club has it's heart set on the modena design for the kit

Its not 2 bad although i prefer the 1 we have at the moment and this 1 looks a bit too much like m*cc
-
Its disgustingly Macclesfieldy! ::)

That yellow one would have been lovely. I don't really like the blue one.

Yellow looks great. Blue WTF?!?!?! Think I'm buyin that and looking like a sheep shagger? :-\
Please, please change to yellow.
-
Seriously, if anyone from the club reads this thread can you please reconsider the choice of away kit because it will be disastrous for shirt sales if you don't.
-
Cant understand the thinking of this choice, does the club not think about the fans opinions at all, it just makes it a tad uncomfortable to support the reds away when playing in Macc colours... :-\
-
another question for the forum on thursday night me thinks ;D
-
Terrible kit. Yellow is a million times better, even leaving out the Macclesfield references. I'm really starting to wonder if this club can get anything right at all.

Let me think... keep GH, arrange a friendly against FCUM after last year's debacle, lets them use our ground, several 'misquoted' quotes in the press. The list goes on.
Hmmm ::)
-
Its going to be a long season for some people.

Putting the Macc resemblence to one side, it just looks sh*te full stop.
It looks like a pub team kit.

We could always pay for a nike designed kit at £40 a pop and have lower player budget
-
My effort attached, based on Roma.
-
with all due respect i think the idea of the alternative kit is that it's not got red in it.
-
I don't think it looks pub team'ish, I just think very few people will buy it and we can ill afford to lose such an important source of income.
-
How about..... The white away kit... with the yellow kit as a 3rd kit? Then we will make money off selling 3 kits as opposed to just the two. ???
-

loving your work UC..loving your work..
-
Ok the problem with white is its got white in it, the issue with red is that it has red in it, so we need something else. Blue is actually pretty traditional, my first season was 71-72 and we wore light blue shirts and dark blue shorts. Incidentally as a 9 year old I thought it looked rubbish!
All white requires a third kit, expensive and only worthwhile if we shift tons of replica shirts which we don't. I think Ian Senior's firm probably give us a pretty competitive deal on kit , especially if the second kit is a "standard issue"
Inter Milan style is the way forward, combines traditional stripes with a blue and not Macc style.
PS we all know the decision is made, its just opinion.
-
I can't see anything wrong with last seasons shirt. The light and dark blues go well together.
-
just because you already have it mate and you cant be arsed changing it ;)

Our last away strip was prostar and that looked alot more professional in my opinion.
I am aware that we use a lower profile kit manufacturer because of our budget limitations, but my personal opinion is that it looks a bit naff. End of the day it's only a kit though I suppose!
-
I can't wear the home shirt, it makes my eyes go funny. I think this is a result of years of scrumpy drinking.
-
or is that A years scrumpy drinking in 4 days?? :D
-
Scrumpy is getting harder to find. You have to make the most of it when its available :)
-

How can we do that?
I always buy shirts for myself and Mrs Saughall but I'll be giving this one a miss I'm afraid - much too 'Moss Rose' for my liking.
-
I really think this is something the club should guage the fans opinion on.
The more people have a hand in choosing the kit, the more people will buy it.
-

Absolutely. A lot of people have made it clear they won't buy it because it's macc, which is going to dent profits. And whilst I respect the opinion of the 30 or so people on here isn't going to affect their decision that much, there can't be many people who buy the away kit as it? Just seems like they're shooting themselves in the foot.
I'd personally be much more likely to buy it if it was black/white/yellow.
-
AFC Wimbledon have a competition where fans are invited to design their second kit, a short list of 5 is then chosen and supporters vote for their preferred choice. A good idea but a bespoke kit would cost a lot more I imagine.
-
I have no problem with the kit apart from the M*cc resemblance. It actually looks ok in my opinion. However, can you imagine M*cc or Northw*ch having a red and white striped away kit??
It's the same thing. We're rivals for ducks sake. we shouldn't be wearing each others kits.
-
To be honest the Macc thing doesn't bother me all that much, and I don't think the kit looks that bad.
It's more the fact that we've had a blue away kit since we've been in this league, and i'd like to see something different!
It obviously would be more costly for the club to let the fans design and vote for their own bespoke kits, but surely if the club put forward a selection of pre-designed prostar styles it would make very little difference to the cost, and the fans would get what they wanted.
-
Can we not change the white trim to black or red?
I think it would look pretty sound with red trim.
As it is though, its just too macc.
I hate to say this, but the board cannot allow this. Just for once, just one little tiny thing they could listen to the fans on. Change this strip.
IN FACT, I PROMISE HERE AND NOW THAT I WILL BUY A REPLICA AWAY SHIRT IF THEY CHANGE IT!!!
-
I simply cannot believe that an Altrincham FC club board would choose a kit that is a replica of our closest rivals home kit.
Would any fan have sat down with the choice of those three kits and picked the blue one?
Beggars belief.
The yellow one is far more traditionally Alty away and would have got a good reception.....traditional away kits have always been all white or yellow or sky blue.
What's our home kit gentlemen?.......green and white f*cking hoops coz they're cheap???????
What is going on in our boardroom? I'm amazed Grahame Rowley who is an Alty fan through and through I believe and steeped in the trasditions of Alty diodn't say "hang on chaps....that's the colour of Macclesfield Town....Macc Town Geoff, they're our rivals....no they play in the 2nd division so you wont have come across them but the point is the fans might not like cheering on an Alty side that look like a load of sheepshaggers when they take the pitch...sheepshaggers geoff....oh forget it".
-
f**king sheep shaggers!!!! >:(

Incorrect my plastic mancunian friend. You'll notice the new Macc shirt comes complete with Coca Cola Football League badges on the side of the shirt and is produced by a world class kit manufacturer like adidas.
Again your behind us more than just on the pitch.
WE'LL NEVER PLAY YOU AGAIN!!!!
-
Adidas, Nike, Reebok or Primark, it makes no difference. They are all made by Pakistanis in some desease ridden rathole in Asia.
-
WE'LL NEVER PLAY YOU AGAIN!!!!
I'm so glad you pt that you daft sheepshagging plastic StokeCityite*....
