Dear Former Bretherin,

It is with great sadness that I write this but I fell I have no option.

You will from now on no longer be classed as my bretherin due to the following:

1) Leaving Alty v Burton very early,

This was unavoidable due to work commitments

2) Failure to come with us in the car to Kiddy resulting in me not being able to go and

I couldnt afford any jazz mags for the journey
3) The possible no show this Saturday.

Work pays the mortgate sorry but Boxing day is booked and ready to go

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Today's Game
« on: December 03, 2006, 04:50:04 PM »
First of all I'd like to say how well we did today against a team who I had previously thought should be flattered to be fourth, but now believe actually have a chance to go up this year. Burton were unbelievable and for large parts of the game we were more than a match for them. Thought Robbie Lawton in particular was outstanding, as were several other members of the Alty team and in general it was one of our best performances of the season, despite the score. We really should have secured a draw from that game and I know it's been said before, but starting the game with just one striker at home to such a fine side is suicidal. Yes, it is easier to comment about things from the sidelines and the manager does have important decisions to make, which he is qualified to do, but today GH cost us BIG TIME. It would make a refreshing change for him to come out, hold his hands up and admit to an almighty cock up. For those posters, who will undoubtedly defend him, how good did we look when Rod came on in the second half. Yes, Burton did realx a bit, but I seriously believe we ran them ragged when we started attacking a surprisingly fragile central defence. We will go down unless we are a little bolder in our home games, even the most optimistic and positive fans must agree. Please, please, two strikers for our next home game. Where on Earth was Peter Thomson?
AltyBri

Im sure people will defend GH cos he has done a fantasic job at the club, however i must admit myself i was surprised at the original line up

why is an airhorn dangerous?

Presumably because you could deafen someone with it.

Which takes me back to ... is a drum not a deafening sound?

Still as clear as mud

why are drums allowed and not air horns

Because they can potentialy damage hearing and be used as a weapon...... oh sorry thats the air horns >:( drums dont damage hearing as they dont omit a loud sound and the drum or the sticks could obviously not be used as a weapon??? ??? ??? ???

Still as clear as mud to me...

Its all about football, but there's still fire in the belly. Wouldn't take the little beavers in the golf road as i expect some awful comments to be made, mainly about the goalkeepers mother being involved in the distribution of controlled substances on Northwich market. It will also be noted that she is very economical in her portions!

No fighting, it doesn't actually prove anything. I do enjoy the banter though, there's some funny people in our band of chanters, never seen anyone match us for wit and humour, ecky has quite literally had me in fits pointing out some of the quirkier fashion victims locked in the chequers end!

Roll on boxing day, we're going to have a storm!

I disagree with anyone slating the keepers mum just horrific ;D
