Title: For those coming to FGR
Post by: Sledge on April 05, 2011, 08:31:55 PM
Hope you can make it to the Green Man. Good beer, several TV screens and a hot home- made meal available. OK, we're a non-red-meat establishment and the cottage pie is no more, but the chicken curry is just as good.

Kids get into the game for £2 as well

Happy to help with any other questions.

Safe trip all

No red meat, a tenner to park the coach........a warm welcome from Peake land.

Can you recommend a decent pub up the road and are we allowed to bring bbqs?

Don't think you would be, but you could just set them up outside the turnstiles

As I remember there was a pub at the bottom of the hill we all went to when we drew 2-2.

The Village Inn  is on the A46 through town, just uphill of the church. Has it's own brewery on site

No-one has brought a bbq so far, try it and see what happens  ;)

That's a tragedy. It was a nice little boozer, and a decent pint (or three) as I recall.
