Well not the absolute worst draw we could have had, I suppose...

We'll now be playing Wrexham three times (or four if there's a replay) in three weeks over Christmas.

Pretty much how I felt. We did them at their place last season, they're not doing very well this year, and I'm not sure whether the ex-FL clubs take this comp very seriously (I suspect, judging by some of his other comments, Saunders couldn't give two hoots about the FA Trophy). We have a chance.

Not that happy personally, would have much preferred an easier game at home.

That's two pretty tough draws we've had in the cup and trophy this season!

Thats a tough draw. Hopefully the players will respond to GH's criticism over our cup performances and give us something to cheer about!

That will be a massive crowd!  Not...

Im gong to wait until the week before to see if the players release a statement that says they are going to give it a go and change the cup policy  ;D

The draw could have been kinder to us but Wrexham it is...  Lets hope the lads go there with a positive attitude and give us a decent run in a cup comp this season after all..

Bugger!  Why can't we get:

a) a home draw - 50:50 chance after all
b) drawn against a team from below APL - 69% chance

Given our form this season it might not be such a bad thing to get drawn away from home.

I think I will make the long journey, its the trophy after all.
PS Wrexham fans I work with think its a terrible draw for them.

Not a bad draw. Away form has been pretty good all season. Could do with a bit more commitment than in the CSC, though!

Not the easiest of draws, but we do have a good chance here. What do you think the attendence will be like?

I'd have though it'd be well down on their league gates, but still respectable for an FA Trophy game. 1,500ish if we take a few?

I think the facts speak for themselves that Wrexhanm should really be beating a 'Sunday League' team like Altrincham in this particular fixture... Using the Logic of the other 'Welsh ones' that is :)

Wrexham had a bit of a run in the Trophy last year:

1st round Wrexham 2 Mansfield 1
2nd round Basingstoke 1 Wrexham 2
3rd round Workington 1 Wrexham 3
QF Wrexham 0 Ebbsfleet 0
QF replay Ebbsfleet 3 Wrexham 1

Looked like they took it seriously.
