What surprises me most about the Alty defence is that I would have thought that Robbie Williams would have taken on the mantle left by the transfer of Greg Young and taken to being a primary member of the Alty back four and shouldered more responsibility and determination that Greg obviously displayed thus making a formidable double centre back partnership with Smithy...

Smithy still puts in solid performances week in week out but Robbie Williams does not seem to have kicked on since Greg's departure and I find that a tad disappointing..

We cant expect Smithy to do it all at the centre of defence......

I too would love (a) Greg to have stayed in the first place (but understand his reasons for wanting full time football) and (b) love it if he did come back on loan for a few months, but I do not see that happening unless York really do not want him there...

In the mean time Robbie if you read this .... In the words of a famous female Chef from Norwich   "Lets be (fkn) avin you"

To Mark Joseph... Show some fkn pride in the shirt, you have the ability but choose not to display it on far too numerous occassions... (We cant all be wrong on here who say your not cutting the mustard)

Would a move for Greg Young back to Alty really help his football career?  I’m not so sure.

I’m far more worried with what we currently have playing for us at the moment.   The Curzon keeper on Saturday was frankly garbage, lets get at them tomorrow and get through.
