Anyone have any team photos from 1960-62, or any newspaper cuttings that mentions reserve/youth/academy (however they were referred to at the time) players.
I have a customer who has told me he was with the club between that time, he never made the 1st team but would love to find some info from that time.

Gavin,

Terry Surridge is the man to ask.

The 1960/61 season was a nightmare one for Alty.
I think that most of the senior players walked out of the club due to the absence of wages and local amateurs were drafted in to fulfil the fixtures.

The 1961/62 season was the first under the stewardship of White & Swales.

Aah, he said there was a team photo taken with white and swales at the start of the season, he remembers seeing it but never got a copy of the paper. So that was the start of 61-62 season then?  thanks for that info, at least i know exact time i'm looking for now!
