One of the truly decent and likeable men in football; I think his time at the club was one of the most enjoyable and fun as his character became the character of the club.

My condolences to his family and friends.

RIP Bernard.

An informative update....thanks

Just one constructive response;

While I agree the new website is a much needed modern looking platform and understand it is a work in progress advice to use a different browser is unlikely to be taken up......if I can't see a browser in my preferred browser I'm not going to open up google chrome which I hate ( or firefox which I thought was a sonic the hedgehog character)  specially to look at one website...even if it's Alty's official website...

I look forward excitedly to the chairman's update on how the marketing of the share investment is going...

Nah, it was a plane that Clint Eastwood nicked from the Russians!

pffft...another example of how it is physically impossible to get anyone to invest in a non league football club....impossible...it just doesn't happen....so it's not worth trying..

Back to the thread lets see how the pitch holds up this season because had they done this at the start of last season we'd still be trying to complete our fixtures..

It's not like Tim Howard would not have been relatively local to Alty at some point!

Listening to the commentary I think Wynn gives more confidence to the defence than TT.

Recently married Darryl Hannah, so probably needs the money to pay back all the wedding expenses!

One thought: I hope it doesn't take any local interest away from our ladies' teams.

Looks like Hulme is a doubt for tomorrow.

Massive loss if he is out

Really bad conjunctivitis.

I was wondering what part of grammar conjunctivitis is!

I think I was thinking of conjunctions and conjunctives!

as long as it doesn't damage the pitch too much. It is good to keep links with a club like Man U and probably says a lot about our groundsman keeping a pitch suitable for such teams.

Having used the main website for a couple of months now I have to say its a regressive step. Its all style over substance. It was only thanks to John Laidlers Alty Files that I got the information about Callum Harris signing and the fact that Lloyd Bannister had now left the club.

Agreed. Great thanks to JL for keeping us so well updated. I like the new site, but we do not get up to date information and the club shop has still not been updated to include our full range of goods - remembering that Christmas is not all that far away!
