What round was when we lost at Walsall?  It was late November
2013-4 2nd round. We'd won by the odd goal in 9 at Runcorn Town, beat Vauxhall Motors 4-1, and Nostell Miners Welfare 10-3 (both at home), and then beat Wrexham 2-1 at Moss Lane in the 1st.Round proper.

Despite going down 4-0 at the Bescot Stadium, that run qualifies as George Heslop's finest few hours !

That's the one I was thinking of, thank you.

But do we have a list of the players? How many "made it" I wonder!

Time for some giant killing.

We had a good run a few years back iirc. Anyone remember or have the details?

Be a shame if they don't televise Dunston v Gateshead.

I love it that there are more leagues between the teams than miles! Typical FA Cup story!

If I recall the penalty offence that took us to Anfield was a raised knee between John King's legs.

There was footage of this incident around at the time, but I can't remember seeing it since then.

I have a Fantasy Football League video with this incident included - needless to say in one of the many p*ss takes of Statto!

Great come-back and result.

And just how promising is Gabbidon!

I don't believe that I have ever seen anyone move as quickly on a football pitch as Dontai Gabidon did  for his 2nd goal......ELECTRIFYING PACE!!!

High praise indeed...other than being fast, what’s his game like Brian? I’m hearing good things...you think he may progress to the first team squad?

There are at least 3 players in this year's Youth Team that are capable of progressing to the 1st team squad, Graeme.

Dontai Gabidon certainly shows great potential......not only is he incredibly quick but he is very skillful & scores goals!!

He played in the 2nd half at Rhyl in our first pre-season friendly & did very well.

You never know how things will develop but he is definitely one to watch out for.

Who would you say are the others Brian?

Draw for 3rd Qual Rd - Tadcaster Albion v Altrincham. To be played week commencing October 15th.
All I know about Tadcaster is that Sam Smith's is infinitely superior to John's!

Very much so!

I'm getting the feeling the "A" will be replaced by "UC!"

Our superb come back last night has been surpassed by arguably the biggest come back in the history of the game in tonight’s fa youth cup match between Nuneaton and Halesowen.Nuneaton Borough led 7-2 with 30 minutes left, but Halesowen came back and won 9-8. Surely the greatest turnaround of all time?

I was just going to post that! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45754723

John Laidlar's Alty Files drops a subtle clue as to the source...

A new mural has appeared on the Popular Side at the J. Davidson Stadium (pictured above). Below are our "initial" thoughts on the subject.

Red and white paint has been applied to the rear of the Popular Side terracing in alternate bands of colour.

In advance of Saturday's FA Cup match against Bradford (Park Avenue) the mural alludes to the Club's proud FA history - albeit little has been seen of FA Cup success in recent years

Catering to the modern vogue for social media, the mural advertises the hashtags #Alty and #FACup.

How and when the piece of artwork was completed remains shrouded in mystery but it is believed someone cooked up the idea earlier this week.

It is now two years since Altrincham last reached the First Round Proper, at which stage non-League clubs have the chance of a giantkilling against an EFL club.

Eventually, whether this season or next, Altrincham hope to add to their seventeen FA Cup victories against Football League clubs, which are listed below

That woeful mural is as half-baked as one of the culprit's mince pies.

That could be deemed insulting if it wasn't so funny LOL
