and its DARK !!!!
-
bit of a delay at the moment - floodlights not working. Efforts being made to correct the fault. Bit of chaos, good turnout but turnstiles shut for a bit while they try and fix the lights
-
Yes, I have received txts about the floodlights, I was desperately hoping it'd be sorted quickly, a certain bunch of inbred salt munchers from down the A556 will be amused
-
maybe we can borrow a generator of Northwich???
-
cannot see a link to the BBc match thread
-
best link for updates I could quickly find is on Sporting Life:
http://www.sportinglife.com/football/live_match/173902.html
-
still dark at ML
-
Thanks for the Link. You would have thought they would test the lights a bit earlier
Stockport are 1 up i see
-
Yes, my da and brother are outside, Barneys doing a roaring trade apparently. 815 KO earliest apparently.
-
According to Brian Flynn on radio manchester, a 240A fuse has gone, and a new one is 'on its way'
-
:D :D :D
-
got the BBC text link now.To get it you have to go through Latest Blue Square scores
-
Matt you are a closet Alty fan really.
All adding to the drama of the FA Cup,we are going to win this
-
75% on now apparently....
-
Game on-wooo! Big Q's at Golf Road apparently, my mate says '2000 with about 50 Luton at the moment'. KO will be 820. Lets hope it's decided over 90 mins then...

-
Grays 1 Carlisle 0 match suspended ???
-
Oh wonder why.
-
Big result for SW, just got food and kids sorted, thought I'd miss a fair bit. The fuse is in the post.
Seriously though for Luton fans, anyone by train will be struggling. The club would do well to advertise the Cresta Court and others.
-
a night for strange things...
-
Thought i would spend the evening with you lot on here tonight bit dead on our forum
-
Your life is that exciting then?
-
Grays match suspended due to floodlight problems!!!!
It must be catching!
-
if the poor sod lives in northwich no wonder he's got nothing else to do.
it was this or a shift down the salt mine.
-

You're welcome to stay, in fact we cant stop you anyway, but please just have a modicum of sense and keep the smartypants comments to a minimum.
Perhaps whilst your here you could tell us your thoughts on the meeting thats on the other thread. My thoughts are that rushe was putting a positive spin on a dire situation, but I hope you lot stay up by the skin of your teeth. Its worth it for Christmas!
COME ON ALTY!!!!!!!!!
-
saw the highlights on Tele down here Mat and i must agree with you.
Grays now abandoned
-
that is gutting for Carlisle fans.
got to do it all again sometime soon.
hmmmmm.
-
At least we know where Alty got the replacement fuse from!!
-
Luton have most of the early possession
-
not a great night for floodlights tonight - really bad for carlisle fans - one heck of a trip
painful breaking news on sky sports - theo walcott dislocated his shoulder in training and wont be available for tomorrow night - OUCH!!
-
A very high ball to enable him to reach his own cross?

Brian Flynn just on saying they missed a good chance but Warren had a half chance for us.....said it is fairly even right now "a good cup tie"

-
So is nobody tempted to get a Hatters World subscription then.... I am sceptical until some body tells me it works....
-
Half time
Southend v Telford is nil - nil. I believe Telford have not lost in about 17 matches
-
HT 0-0
fairly even according to Mr Flynn, Luton possibly just shading it, could go either way..
-
you sign up on a trial for 3 weeks if you dont cancel it then you have to pay the full amount, thats the way i read it
-
This is too quiet tonight, going to check out BBC and Sporting Life.
-
from bbc text (so probably completely wrong) sounds pretty even but not many clear chances. few corners/free kicks for each side
text from the match confirms 'pretty even'
-
Ditto Sporting Life
0 Shots On Target 1
1 Shots Off Target 3
4 Fouls (Conceded) 3
3 Corners 4
0 Yellow Cards 0
0 Red Cards 0
-
I know have real player up for the radio and it says i need to update, but no update is available,so still cannot get it
-
Spoke to my Dad, a very even game with Luton having the better of the half chances. Big crowd so I'm told.
-
southend one up
-
Col subbed, Elam on (injury)
-
southend one up
I believe its pronounced Sar-fend
-
certainly looking like a trip to southend for the winner tonight - 2 nil
-
bit worried about Cols injury
-
COME ON ALTY
COME ON ALTY
COME ON ALTY
-
tonight would be a good evening for elam to get his hattrick
-
Dale and Elam terrified them in the last 15 there.
-
attendance 3397 according to Mr Flynn - more than at Kenilworth Road
-
good attendance,i bet the atmosphere is electric
-
good attendance,i bet the atmosphere is electric
Then why didn't they use that for the floodlights?
-
excellent gate that. good money coming in. how many 'atters?
-
and a good job the floodlights failed - they would never have all got in for 7.45!
-
Impressred if true. Expected 2200ish. How many Luton? Where do these extra people come from, we need to engage them.
-
excellent gate that. good money coming in. how many 'atters?
How many police are we paying for?
-
barrow winning 4 nil - a certain mr c logan with the 4th
-
1 sweeney
-
Jennifers dad on fire tonight with the one-liners!!! ;D
Also - the floodlights failing didnt mean more time for everyone to get in, it just meant everyone was stood outside waiting longer - the turnstiles were closed whilst the lights were being fixed
-
could this be the longest night of football at moss lane ever? cant believe im not there :'( i planned to take my dad but he left his wallet in bus depot, cut a long story short im sat here pissed off :'( come on alty
-
Jennifers dad on fire tonight with the one-liners!!! ;D
Also - the floodlights failing didnt mean more time for everyone to get in, it just meant everyone was stood outside waiting longer - the turnstiles were closed whilst the lights were being fixed
Thankyou!!
I wonder if the floodlights were sabotaged to give Youngy time to get back from his exam!!
-
hush dont say that someone might just hear
-
Jennifers dad on fire tonight with the one-liners!!! ;D
Also - the floodlights failing didnt mean more time for everyone to get in, it just meant everyone was stood outside waiting longer - the turnstiles were closed whilst the lights were being fixed

Luton 7 shots to our 1 :(
COME ON ALTY!
-

Doesn't sound like any one of them caused any trouble.
-
Sad news from Droylsden. Match suspended waiting for Ambulance as lad can't be moved. Darlington players left the pitch in no mood to continue, commentators suspect match may be abandoned.
-
Serious injury to Darlington player at Droylesden....waiting for an ambulance and game may be called off apparently...
-
fingers crossed for whomever is involved. sad indeed.
-
spare a thought for any eastbourne fans who went all the way to barrow (which was bad enough anyway!) only to get beat 4 nil
county 5 nil in the end!!!
trip to SOUTHEND (Sarf-end) for winne at Moss Lane!!!
COME ON ALTY!!!!
-
I'm sure all would agree: best wishes to the injured Darlo lad
-
Penalty!!! to alty
red card
senior brought down
Peyton to take it
-
Foul by Anthony Danylyk (Altrincham) on Claude Gnakpa (Luton). Direct free kick taken right-footed by Kevin Nicholls (Luton) from right channel, header by Michael Spillane (Luton) from left channel (12 yards), hit post.
Sounds like we are struggling - BF says Luton are turning the screw and
Senior penalty
-
Penalty for Alty!!!
-
Oh dear hope he is ok.
Kettering have beaten Lincoln
-
Luton down to 10
Warren to take it
saved
-
Missed - saved
-
Bugger. Keep going lads.
-

-
blast
-
Missed - saved
Arse!!!
C'mon Alty
-
Bollocks! Had a bad feeling about it to be honest, to bad, sounds like Senior was bound to score as well....
-
he'd only been on 6 minutes
-
AAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Darlington lad banged heads with own players and fell awkwardly. Suspected broken neck, not moved since incedent 15 minutes ago.
All the best to the lad, hope it's not as bad as it sounds
-
so long as the players react better than us! concentrate and get it behind them. move on, try and use the extra space etc...
-
Another taker perhaps would've beenn a better option? No discredit not there but......
Hope the fella at Droylsden is ok, sounds pretty bad, fingers crossed.
-

Some say the player fouled should not take the penalty
-
Elam maybe?
-
haha gone and f**ked that up ant u paul mcveigh will lead the way :'( ;D
-
Thats who i would have had take it
-
I thought Senior was brought down & Peyton took it?
-

-
I thought Senior was brought down & Peyton took it?
We stand corrected
-
Meech on for Senior
-
wouldve loved col on pitch :'(
-
Big chance for Meech here to make a name for himself at alty.
COME ON ALTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I thought Senior was brought down & Peyton took it?
We stand corrected
I can't sit down and watch this either!
-
sky sports news have no idea about whats happening at droylsden, dont even know theres been an injury
anyone any news, sounds pretty bad. fingers crossed for the guy
-
What money on Joe coming on & scoring a last minute winner?
-
lets hope it doesnt go to pens eh :D
-
My mate says that 'Peyton's body language gave it away', bollocks.
-
They are now suggesting that there was a degree of precaution about waiting for the ambulannce before moving him but he did seem to be unconcious for a while
-
My mate says that 'Peyton's body language gave it away', bollocks.
a suppose if his body language wos bollocks he wos bownd 2 miss
-
BF saying Luton had only half chance in last few minutes. Ralph not having the best night apparently.
Save the last sub for Stu to come on for the shoot out?
-
No way. Bring a keeper on for a shoot out!
What's Ralph done wrong? Its still nil.
-
Ralph has a good penalty saving record too i think. I'd use it at the start of extra-time, hopefully we will be fresher with the extra man.
-
quite right SW. no way bring on a cold keeper for a shoot out.
-
Ralph has previous in penalty shoot out's of course. Vauxhall's famous win at QPR about 5 years ago...
-
FACR1: FT Droylsden 1-0 Darlington
says the Beeb...
-
purely looking back to Stu's penalty saving record. Might also worry the opposition if we bring on a specialist, just to add to the pressure.
Nothing against Ralph as I was impressed with him vs Luton and FGR
-
I would bring on Joe to run at them
-
I would bring on Joe to run at them
Agreed, but I'd quite like him to do that with the ball!
-
FACR1: FT Droylsden 1-0 Darlington
says the Beeb...
It is indeed - 13 minutes of added time, Darlington finished with 10 men as has used all subs
-
Attendance 2,397
-
1,000 down from the earlier figure then?
-
BF said it was 3397.
-
Its extra time!
-
I would bring on Joe to run at them
i would keep it like this for now there always gonna be injury in e/time isnt there
-
BF said it was 3397.
3397 would be a bit optimistic for a Tuesday night
-
Keane will get another booking 5 minutes into extra time
-
2397 more in line with expectations to be honest. Still a decent turnout. Wish we had that every game...
-
anyone know the name of the injured darlington player? Query comes from Stockportalty via text from ML
-
BF said it was 3397.
I thought he did, to be fair you can hear how he is trying to keep calm and still give summaries, no way I could do it, I'd be going mental
-
Liam Hatch according to Confguide Hallam Alty, played for a few Conf teams in his time.
-
this is absolutely doing my head in
big hope is that they seemed to tire badly in the first game, and now they are down to 10
-
He'd estimated the crowd as 3000+ before the official figure was released - not sure which figure's right to be honest.
-
Darlo lad is now concious. Hoping it's not a fracture, delay was waiting for specialist strechture, they did hear a loud crack as he hit the floor.
Darlo director on the radio was superb - gave full credit to Droylsden for the victory despite talk of abandoning the game.
Once again all the best to the lad - called Hatch I think
-
They've restarted
-
Jesus, finished the wine off, now on to the lagers
-
Any chance BF will now be asked to do commentry on Radio Manchester?
-
Sitting at home with a virus and my nerves are in tatters.
An Alty win is the only cure. Come on lads!

Is there an English teacher out there?
-
Nothing is ever easy where Alty are concerned
-
English student - will that do? I've given up on some of the spelling on here lol ;)
-
Ah yes, as I suspected, an adolescent not yet out of school with all the English language skills of a pubic louse. Any chance anyone over the age of 12 could have that again, but this time in English please?
-
HT of ET 0-0.
-
Not sure I fancy us for penalties after missing one. Their keeper will be full of confidence....
Come on Alty

Actually cba arguing with you, and my feeling is that you will win it before pens as much as a don't want you to win i do want you to win to represent the north west so good luck
-
Jesus, I hope we somehow get one in the next 15 then...
-
Too busy thinking 'bout the Alty and I ain't got time for nothing else.
-
Young and Meechan up front!
Are we still on our 3-4-3 or back to 4-4-2?
-
good job i bit my nails yesterday playing football manager09
-
10minutes left
-
Latest report from "Bill Flynn"
Luton fairly cauitous, Alty plenty of territory but no real chances, looking increasingly like penalties
-
Are we still on our 3-4-3 or back to 4-4-2?
No idea mate. I imagine all formation may have gone out of the window now!
-
looks like we are giving away silly freekicks now
-
i see oxford have come back from behind to beat dorchester 3-1 after extra time. Shame - dorchester have a strange little stadium in the car park of the tesco's next door!
-
this is now about concentration. must maintain that every second. they'll be knackered but it is within our grasp to win this.
COME ON ALTY
COME ON ALTY

-
Lutons goalie is playing a blinder by the looks of it
-
grrr.
-
We've apparently battered them during the second period of ET.

Luton win-all over

f**kin 'ell, unlucky lads
-
oh well FA Trophy for us
-
We're out. Hard luck lads.
-
Well done lads. took 'em all the way,
Lot of pride in that.
Cheers all.
-
sh*t...gutting.
-
are we sure? I've lost count!
ah well 180 240 mins against a mid table 2nd div side shows how far we've come.
Don't think Luton deserved it over the two games but good luck to 'em.
-
Whoever won would have lost at Saaarfend anyway, positive thoughts ???
-
Arse!
Hard luck Alty. Sounds like over the 2 games we edged it on quality, but it shows we are stronger than we were last 2 seasons to not give any goals away in open play.
Sounds like Smiffy was good
-
Unlucky!
-
I'm gonna take my frustration out on BBC Mcrs e-mail machine!!!!!
-
We had our chances in the match at their place and at ours by the sound of it.
Unlucky lads. Warren must be feeling crap. Chins up lads. Given the chance for being 12 th in the league and giving a league team two good games I'd certainly have taken it.
-
well done alty on a good performance, took them all the way to pens and got so close to winning - well done lads
And thanks to sarf london for the updates - far quicker than the BBC!
-
Whoever won would have lost at Saaarfend anyway, positive thoughts ???
Hate to say I agree. There would be loads of Eastenders on hols there
-
fantastic effort lads roll on conferance stability anyway
-
well done alty on a good performance, took them all the way to pens and got so close to winning - well done lads
And thanks to sarf london for the updates - far quicker than the BBC!
Seconded!
-
Well done lads, sh*t way to go out but no embarrassment. Lottery of a shoot out, good luck Luton. Hope you have a run and get a few quid together. Long run home tonight, best wishes.
-
0-0 home & away against mid table 2nd Div team (ignoring 30pt deduction) shows we could be dark horses for the Trophy (and the CSC)

I was on the phone to my dad - much more effective way of staying in touch, with the added bonus of getting deafened in one ear every now and then. Bad luck alty! But there's always next year and I'd swap the FA cup for staying up in the league not by default any day!
keep up the good work lads!

Had a feeling it had gone when Warren missed the pen, oh well, lets concentrate on staying up, tough way to go out though.... :(

had the feelin it had gone when col went off, any news on him? most important news that

Yep. I guess the penalty was a big turning point. If they'd been one down with 10 men and having to go for it rather than hang on for pens (assuming that's what they did) it might have been different.
Decent showing over two legs.
-
After Chris's finishing on Saturday I'd have rather they left him stood up and kept 11 on the pitch. they didn't seem to create much at Luton and not much today from the sound of it. One goal would have been enough I reckon.
Still, onwards and upwards
-
Attendance according to BBC 2,397 - better than I thought it would be. Credit to those who attended
-
Lets home we get back to winning ways this weekend now
-
im gutted :( ......but im proud aswell
the 'if onlys' have started to creep in....
1) if only warren had blasted it down the middle (but i feel for him because it wasn't a bad penalty)
2) if only senior's goal in the first game had been given
3) if only we had a crowd that big each week!
nevermind onwards and upwards, well played alty
-
the lads gave it their all and we did non league football proud. Does anyone know why Colin went off? Could have used him for the penalty... Hope Warren doesn't blame himself for the penalty miss he put in a great shift again. On a lighter note Youngy passed his uni exam.....
-
I'm glad people are sympathetic toward Peyton because he put in a great shift tonight and agreeing with tpark2 it wasn't a bad penalty. Great performance to keep a league 2 team at bay for over 200 minutes. I though Mark McGregor and Dale Johnson especially stood out today. Also I would like to thank those true Alty fans who told the so-called fans to shut up when an Alty player was taking a penalty.
-
Just got back. Feel sorry for Warren, although I don't agree that he played well if that's what is meant by 'great shift'. He did run his bollocks off though, could never criticise his work rate. I agree Dale played really well, although he wasn't awarded as many freekicks as he should have been. In fact, now I think of it, the referee was poor tonight in my opinion.
As for the ire that was stirred up by the singing of pro-Alty chants before our pens; I'll never understand that. Why do people get so angry about the crowd chanting Robbie Lawton's name before his pen!?
Proud of the lads though, had Senior not been professionally fouled we'd have won, and everyone gave their all for the cause. We'll just have to win the Trophy now!
-
Thanks for the Link. You would have thought they would test the lights a bit earlier
Stockport are 1 up i see
The lights were tested yesterday they were on working from 5pm tonight it was not the floodlights it was a main fuse.
The attendance was 2397 189 from Luton plus some in the stands.
Message to the two scum that sneaked in the away to attack the little kid then then run when out numbered by stewards into the streets don't bother coming back you will not be welcome

It wasn't that mate it was the constant chanting of albino as they were about to take the penalty. I was chanting his name as he was walking up to take the penalty however, once he placed the ball I was quiet.

That is out of order I don't think the Luton crowd did anything to upset Alty however I doubt the scum who attacked that kid were Alty fans just a game a season people

I didn't have a clue about that. That's absolutely disgusting. Why do these morons turn up on FA Cup night? Last year a Man City 'mob', this time 2 idiots willing to attack kids.

I thought the ref did ok tonight.

Gutted about last night. Thought it was about evens but was disappointed about our lack of actual shots on target.
Does anyone know yet why Colin went off? We desperately needed someone of his class in the 2nd half and extra time - most notable when the ball ran through to Peyton a couple of times in the box who mis-controlled it, when we needed someone like Colin or Senior to control it and get a shot in.
Both Colin and Senior should have stayed on imo :(

Sorry but what do people mean that Warren put in a good shift (cos he ran for 120 mins??!), don't normally have a go at players (leave that to Ol) but that guy is so far out of his depth it is untrue. Its not cos he missed a pen cos that was probably the best touch he had all night. He's just far too slow and not an intelligent enough player to make up for it.
How can anyone justify, in a "must win game", playing peyton in front of Elam its crazy.
Why the hell was senior pulled off cos he could run for 120 mins and actually play football!
Missed Little after half time no one was clever enough to break them down.
Also wish the singers walked round to the corner of the popular side in the first half - its always a great atmosphere down there compared to the golf road end.
Anyway rant over just gutted I suppose!!!
