Bummer, I can't listen to the Rush song at half-time now!

I’m sure that all the people who’ve had a wasted day travelling to Spennymoor will happily contribute to a fund to buy you a Spotify account.

Really feel for everyone who has travelled up for this - why was it called off so late? The players as well. Was there actually a pitch inspection earlier when they confirmed it was on just after lunch?
These are people with day jobs and lives travelling in work time to get to this match - it should have been called off first thing or even yesterday. Weather across Yorkshire has been shocking for last 3 days. I don't imagine it was any better in the north east, and I know from a friend in that neck of the woods that it was a deluge yesterday and similar today.

Dear Mad Frankie
That was not to be taken seriously, I was one of the ones who lost money when we went to the Midlands last season. I lost that coach money for exactly the same reason, as did my son Chris, think it may have been Stourbridge if I remember. I joked then that at least the pork scratchings were nicer. I therefore understand how the fans felt at Spennymoor. It is very fustrating.
We already have Amazon Prime anyway rather than Spotify.

Everybody except the officials thought the game should have been played.
I honestly couldn’t see a problem, but who am I.

You are a loyal supporter who was prepared to sacrifice arguably up to 10 hours of your time to undertake a round trip of nearly 350 miles on a filthy winter night in order to watch your team play. However you chose to undertake that journey, it was a night when you would probably spend around £50 altogether.
Does the referee care one jot for you ? Obviously not. Utterly disgraceful.

I also work on our pitch as well.
I went and looked at the so-called bad area.
It was perfect.
I did have words with the ref, he brought in health and safety after I called him wrong on visible water and the ball running in it.
Conner and Jordan played the ball in this area , no problem.

Would you have expected the game to be played at Moss Lane or under different officials? I'm not being facetious

Hi Steve....we will play the song on Saturday at half-time during the Gateshead match.

Thanks Brian, I know in view of what happened last night it was a very minor point, but I do appreciate that and will be listening.
Glad that Spennymoor have offered to pay for the supporters coach, nice gesture. Feel also for the players who have lost time at work in their full-time job.

The players are paid to play for Altrincham and I'm sure they were still paid on Tuesday despite their being no game. So the cost isn't really to the players but the club.

Most will have had to take time off work. Also cost in terms of time that they could have better spent with their families/ doing something else. It is an all round ballache and I would lay the blame at the Spennymoor door.
