 MILNE JOINS ALTY
Blue Square Bet North club Altrincham have announced that they have signed Andrew Milne.

Milne started his career at Leeds United, but failed to make the senior side at Elland Road.
He did, however, make his League debut whilst on their books by playing fourteen times in two loan spells with Darlington prior to their relegation.
In August 2010 he signed for Barrow AFC upon his release from Leeds and has since been with FC Halifax Town and most recently, NPL First Division North outfit Ossett Town.
He is no stranger to Moss Lane though as he played seven games during the 2010/11 season whilst on loan from Barrow.

IMO great signing if he's the same player we had during the loan spell last season

I'm sure he was a right back, but could play centre half too..

Good, solid player from what I remember

My memory is that he played on the right of a back three, mostly, as well as occasionally at right back. We'd have to have one hell of an injury crisis to run out of right backs though.

Andy has only registered as cover while still playing for his parent club Ossett Town, only playing for us in emergencies.

Disappointing. Whenever we sign a player and say that about him he never appears...

It's an emergency now, we can't defend properly, and he can, get him straight in...

So can we only call on his services when Ossett aren't playing? If that's the case this seems a pretty pointless arrangement as most of our remaining games clash with theirs.
