Reeves' hold up and linking play was quite underrated. Spent lots of the game with his back to goal, himself. It is such a shame that we lost Hulme and I do wonder if he regrets it slightly given how things have played out.
I can only compare this side to what I've seen and for me they're playing the best football in my time, no question. The Conference side we had with Chris Senior, Greg Young, Tom Kearney et al was very good too, and if it wasn't broken up with players picked off, I think we would have kicked on.
I'm sure Parky would agree though, until this side wins an FA Trophy or finds a way out of The National League, they simply can't be placed ahead of the successful squads in the 70s and 80s. We're still missing a giant-killing, too.
