....survive. The rest have all gone. What is that these managers see in James Lawrie? Honestly, after crowther and o'keefe he would have been first to go. Will miss Nicky Clee, quality player and also Luca , who apart from the last dozen games has been superb.

James Lawrie was an integral part of our promotion season. He's lost his way this season but we know the level he can play to. I'm quietly confident that Neil Young will stick a rocket up his arse and get him playing. The drop down could do him wonders.
Very happy with the clear out overall.

Little doubt Lawrie is good technically but doesn't perform well often enough

Well a big change was called for... I feel sorry for Nicky Clee, he has been brilliant for alty over the years, I'd have liked to have a chance to see him play one last time

Didnt include him in my thinking to be honest. Realistically he was never going stay. James Lawrie produces moments of magic every 7-10 games, but he is lightweight, loses the ball too often and is appalling at delivering set peices. I gave up with him a long time ago. Braintree's first goal last week sums up James Lawrie for me.

Don't think any of us thought of Bowerman after half a dozen games.
With Lawrie, still can't make my mind up.
He does give the ball away.
Not in the same league as Graham Heathcote, but he gave the ball away.
In my opinion he was always one step ahead of the rest of the team.
Always thought Lawrie was a player who could change a game.
Didn't do it this season, but most of the time he played on the wing.
We will have to see what the new manager thinks.
As of yet, we still only have four players signed up.

Dont forget that our physio knows them better than anyone and you can bet that Neil has spoken to Alan about them,.. which suggests that their fitness is a major concern even for next year.

Yes, my worry is if his ops have worked and he ends up at one of our CN competitors like Harrogate (who tried to sign him twice before) then we might regret not keeping him.

Also a fit Nicky Clee might have provided the ammunition that reeves and Ranks would fill their boots on.

Yes thats what he said, but he hasnt tested them yet. A fit Nicky would be a huge asset to any team.
Time will tell and he's gone now so lets hope Young doesnt regret that decision.

It's football..........you cannot be with mates all the time and I am sure they will make new friends ! They probably knew nobody other than Lee Sinnott when they joined here

If my personal circumstances, of which you know nothing about, had allowed me to attend, then I would have.You are very fortunate to be able to go to every match and attend every meeting.
