There's some interesting news on the club's website now..
-
Very impressive.
But the chap from Accrington: he's not played abroad recently has he?
It is good to see we are looking at a higher level for players (not the overpaid ones in the NLN) who seem hungry to improve - now we have a reputation for improving players - and I congratulate the board and management for this show of intent and shot in the arm for the club and fans.

Welcome to Alty and good luck
-
Welcome all.

A lad who can finish, wowzer.
Hopefully get some good news about Colclough now.
-
Welcome to all. I think Montel Gibson looks certain to start with the other two maybe being on the bench, but that does depend on how much Phil Parkinson wants to shake up the team. Pretty decisive action.
Looking into the background of Yoan Zouma, I was interested to read that his brothers are both internationals, but for different countries, with Lionel, who plays for Dhofar, having played for Central Africa, where his parents were born, while Chelsea player Kurt, has played for France, where he was born.

Welcome to all three new loanees...
Hope u all enjoy your month with Alty (or longer)...
Good Luck lads...
Tomorrow night's game is now even more interesting... fair play to Parky - as he said, he's shaken things up!!! COYR!
-
Fantastic news.
Like I said on another thread, this is the right thing to do. Just didn't know if it would be possible.
Should have known Parky would pull it off!
Takes a bit of pressure off the back four in respect of people carrying niggles.
Gives us hope that we've got a short term striker who's match fit and ready to go for a month (at least) with Piggott gradually getting up to speed too perhaps.
PS. Shouldn't this mean Byron and Fisayo are on the way?
-
Great news. Enjoy your time at Moss Lane lads
Onwards & Upwards

I expect Zouma to be fast!

You probably thought Senior would have been older then.

Reagan Ogle? Now, I remember seeing him play for Southport and thinking what a decent full back he was.
-
Three promising signings.
Montel Gibson who seems to divide opinion in the Grimsby fanbase, like Alistair Smith did for Mansfield. Scored 2 goals this season but has played less than half of games I think, good age and hopefully he'll find his level.
Looks like Zouma and Ogle give us the biggest thing we're missing at the back, which is athleticism. Our opponents pack their team with pace and power, which was particularly evident against Bromley on Saturday.
Good luck at Alty lads.

James Poole more of a swimmer?

I won't have a bad word said about Jackie Swindells!

😂😂
He crossed my mind too but I couldn't think of a respectful way to phrase it. Respect! 😉 👍
PS. Dennis Fidler on the other hand.....

"This is getting silly", said Ivan Crossley.

Watmore can I say?

Possible song for one of our new loan signings?
