Will there be a poll for "Best demonstration of hogging the fans forum by a fan with too much time on their hands"?

I don't know but it's all getting a bit tedious now to be honest.

Better than posts about who is the worst this and worst that.

I am trying to make a point that we should focusing on positives not trying to drag the club down all the time.

We are in deep trouble already without making ourselves feels worse.

No wonder people dont post here any more - it is boring as hell.

I could tell you were trying to make a point to some other posters and i agree but basically spamming the place doesn't help. The fact is there's not a lot happening just now.

I'd have said Paul Brush but he never played for Alty.

On that note Paul Cruickshank. I don't know what it is, in fact i don't think there is such a thing as a Cruickshank but if there was it should be something to do with a toilet. Scored a long range effort in a defeat at home to runcorn in the early 80s, just about the first Alty game i can remember. Scored against Doncaster in the FA cup as well i think.

Ballers,

Sorry to be the one to have to report this to you but your mind is playing tricks on you again.

Paul Cruickshank's only goal for Alty occurred in the 5-0 home victory over Gateshead on Monday, 10th October 1983.

Benno scored Alty's solitary goal in that FA Cup tie defeat at home to Doncaster Rovers on Saturday, 8th December 1984 (by which time Cruickshank was long gone from Moss Lane).

Quite correct re Doncaster Cult. I think a couple of their goals were long rangers. I was impatient for Benno to come on and there was no space in their defence and sure enough he found a gap to get a header at the Golf Road end? Who scored v Runcorn then? I'm still certain Gareth Smith had a bad game in goals for us that night.

Was Runcorn goal a rare strike from David Constantine?

Ballers,

29th August 1983
Altrincham 1 Runcorn 3

That man Bennett was the scorer, once again.

Indeed, Alty local Gareth Smith was the goalkeeper.
However, he was soon to be succeeded by Trevor Dance.
