I got to witness the delights of Richard Brodie last night.
He was playing centre half(!) for Ashton Athletic, at Wythenshawe Town.
At 4-0 down, he got into some verbals with a Wythenshawe substitute. In his capacity as 'player coach' he then subbed himself off, throwing the armband at a team mate.
Still one for theatrics!

That's so bizarre; you'd expect him to still be able to bag a few goals at centre forward at that level (unless his legs have completely gone).

I saw Josh Lungstram play for Crewe under 23s last night, he'd still do a job for us

Great at winding up the crowds was Aunt Sally...……..and to be fair, a decent striker / thorn in our side on his day

I'll never forget managing to wind Brodie up so badly one afternoon at Moss Lane that decided to enter into an exchange with me during a break in play while the trainer was on.
"You know I always score against you lot" he shouted.
"Not today mate - look behind you !" I was delighted to reply as the board with his number on it went up on the opposite side of the pitch. The timing was quite delicious !

I'd piggy back him here myself.

Hopefully the new scouting network described on the main site will obviate that as well as moving us beyond just looking at ex Crewe, Salford and Nantwich players.
By the way, there's nothing wrong with that but if we're going to move towards full time, moving to establish a much wider search area is, I would argue, absolutely essential.

Lundstram should be someone on our radar if he is available.

Since he was a late substitute for the first team on Saturday I'd say his availability is extremely unlikely.
