I can only imagine what my reaction would have been like if I was unable to attend and heard the commentary alone. Amazing.

I am absolutely amazed that Mr Flynn managed to be so unbelievably eloquent through that. Absolutely amazing commentary, although I'm slightly gutted that we didn't get a Hednesford-esque "James Lawrie! James Lawrie! James Lawrie!"

Great work Radio Robins, Great work Mark at Alty TV, great work Darren on the away end camera.

Magnificent all round. Happy as a sandboy.

Just one lousy cheer when the goal goes in and I get a right old rollocking off JM for beoing too noisy>

She's got no problem with cheers when North Ayrshire voted against independence, but Alty score and it's a different matter!

I went nuts but I think I was outdone by by Mr. Flynn.
If only all football coverage was like this I'd happily pay for subscription. So much better than the insipid stream of cliches served up by the mainstream broadcasters.

Well done to all. Superb!

I love the relatively low key 'oh, it's a great effort' (as if Brian thought it was going over maybe?) followed by the absolute explosion of noise.

I can only imagine what my reaction would have been like if I was unable to attend and heard the commentary alone. Amazing.

I roared at the red and white walls of my living room, barely held onto my laptop and danced a little jig of joy as if nobody was watching (and indeed they weren't). My wife had long since vacated the room, sensing the tension in the air and anticipating the dark clouds that would accompany our 'certain' defeat. Gloriously wrong. The cold sweats brought about by the first half technical difficulties, where I was engulfed by a painful radio silence and feverishly refreshing the web page for the match day updates, were long forgotten.

I watched that fantastic Alty TV clip of the goal again and again and again and again (times too numerous to recall) into the early hours of the morning. I marveled, not only at the goal, but at the superb quality of the clip, the masterful, emotion laden tones of Mr Flynn on the mic. Goosebumps with each watch, an ecstatic combination of pride and joy. Nothing compares to actually being there and I so wish I could have been, but this is as good as it gets for an exile. We are truly blessed with a service that would put many in the Football League to shame and for that I am eternally grateful.

My eyes are as red as a baboon's arse today, but I care not as it's just more red and white showing through. I look like I've been on a Billy Big Bong Bender of Cheech & Chong proportions with stupefied grin to boot.

Long live Alty TV, long live RR, may whatever god you cling to shine down on the good ship Alty and all who sail in her.

Thank you and goodnight.

Disappointed with the commentary.
I was expecting at least 5 'JamesLawries' as in the Hednesford game.
We had to make do with one this time.

The Facebook clip has now "reached" over 30,000 people. Facebook define "reach" as the amount of people who can see the post on their "news feed" so it hasn't necessarily been watched by 30,000

At about 00:45 on the video it looks like Richman is p*ssed off about the smoke bomb on the pitch...

For some reason I would have thought the players would enjoy that kind of thing  :(

From about 13 to 20 secs in the behind the goal shot there are 3 Macc fans walking out who turn round to watch the ball going into the net but don't break stride or show any emotion when the goal goes in.  Bizarre

Smoke bombs are much less dangerous than flares :)

As I said in the other thread started by Phil. I still fail to see why players would see smoke bombs being thrown on to the pitch as something to enjoy.

In the end it comes down to preference, I enjoy them because they add to the atmosphere but I imagine when i'm old and miserable I will learn to hate them :D

Smoke bombs being thrown onto the pitch, maybe not. But we have had our own players going on record saying that the flare during the Brackley play-off home leg actually added to the atmosphere. Duncan Watmore mentions it in his leaving-interview, and many of the squad that season shared photos of it after the game. In my opinion it was the reason we went on to win; it created an atmosphere on the terrace that willed our players forward.

Thanks to the fella who makes the videos, I have been waiting for this game for years but was out of the country so could'nt make it. The flare at Brackely was amazing and the smoke bombs look great on this video, plus it will really have wound up the sheep fiddlers!
Well done to the young lads still creating a great atmosphere at Moss Lane... As long as there kept to special occasions and done safely then I have no issues :)
keep it up lads!! ;D

Was I the only one who was unable to listen to the commentary the other night? It didn't work for some reason despite trying it on a few different devices.

We had a technical problem which meant that we couldn't broadcast from about 15 minutes to half time.Enter Dan the Techknowledgey man, who heroically identified that the USB port on my laptop wasn't charging the mobile internet device....& we were back on for the whole of the second half. This might not answer your question, but at least explains what happened.

If you get a chance, it's worth listening to the recording as you get a personal mention in added time :o

Completely understandable sir. Youthful exhuberance that will always be part of club folklore.
