There's no doubt one enabled the other. Reinvest, reinvest, reinvest.

I'm sure one day we'll be accepting a fee for Joel and doing the same, such is life.

But for now, delighted we get to see him in an Alty shirt again next season - he'll only get better.

Great news to offset loss of Smith...

Both were arguable the best players last season (along with Colclough & Kosylo)...

Gutted abt Smith going, but buzzing & well happy to hear Senior is staying...

Brilliant... hope u have another great season Joel...

Just as a thought, and with the loss of Alistair, is there now not a space for Shaun Densmore in midfield, with Joel at right back. Shaun has played right midfield side on many occasions, and was doing well towards the end of last season. He can play in different positions, is loyal and has vast experience as an Alty player. I often have felt he has not been given his chance in the team, with the understandable form of Joel Senior.

Thoughts anybody??

With respect to Dens, I don't think he has the legs for 90 minutes in midfield at NL level these days.

It wouldn't be a problem if the tactic is to pass it across the back four for 90 minutes  :-\ We still need a goal scorer
