Terrible decision.
Quality player who deserved a lot more game time.
A player to keep Hanks on his toes.

I liked him but I trust the management - blimey, this forum really does have its favourites. The way people went on about him here, you'd think he was in the running for the Ballon D'Or.

Good luck to him, I hope he kicks on and does well wherever he goes next.

Might have been a case of him wanting more game time and or money than we could offer.
Seems like PP is probably working his way through the squad with offers /deals.
There will be a series of these over the coming days before the retained list is announced.

Yes. This.

We need to free squad space for a high profile centre back and a proven Conference National striker. It will be difficult but we have a better chance of doing this if we avoid collecting duplicates.

You'd have thought they'd learned their lesson after JJ's signing. 😂

The problem they had when JJ signed was a stubbornness to play a flat 4-4-2, with JJ on one side and Brad Jackson on the other. Neither are famed for their defensive duties, which is typically required of wide midfielders in that system.

If they've twigged to go 4-2-3-1 with Glendon and Weeks, JJ out wide and Hardy on the other side / in 10, they'll do well.

Disappointed for him to leave us (hope we're allowed to like certain players).

He showed a directness that could have had a great impact - instead of shoehorning Tom Peers outwide

Like others I am a little disappointed to see him go, although appreciate why the decision was probably made, and will be happy to see him getting the regular football he deserves.

Echoing other comments on here, i too am surprised to see Hardy leave as when he played thought he did well... guess we have a lot of competion on the right side ie Mooney, Kosylo, & new signing Brad Jackson... plus if played as no.10 also have those guys plus Hancock, etc...

Anyway, sad to see him go, but guess need to free up squad spaces...

I wish James Hardy well for the future... did well for us...
Good luck James...
